EMPI’s Ajit Haksar Institute of Advertising Communication and Marketing Management, one of the leading Advertising Communication and Marketing Management Institute in Delhi/NCR hosted the 3rd AdCoMM Knight on 28th January, 2012 at EMPI campus at Chattarpur to honour the leading Advertising and Communication professional of the country and brand icon Ms. Tara Sinha with Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to Media and Advertising industry for over five decades. The award was presented at a glittering function organized by the advertising students in the presence of 250 strong Alumni, Faculty and industry representatives from various fields of media, namely PR, Corporate Communications, Creative, Advertising, BTL, Rural Marketing, Media Planning And Buying, Sales &  Marketing and Retail Sectors.

 
On the previous two occasions the lifetime Achievement Award was given to leading Advertising and Theater personality Mr. Alyque Padamsee an International Author on brand and best seller Titled “22 Immutable laws on Branding” Mr. Al Ries and Ms. Laura Ries. The award is recognition of the dedicated professionals for their commendable contribution towards the growth of advertising media in the country and abroad.
 
On this occasion, the 15 years old reputed Institute also honoured top who’s who of advertising namely Mr. Gopal S. Krishnan, Vice President, Mudra; Mr. Anwesh Bose, Vice President, Mudra Max; Mr. Rajat Iyer, Former Head, O&M Outreach; Ms. Shailaja Manocha, Leading Marketing Professional; Mr. Dharmendra Arora, Media Consultant, Hitachi and Sony; Mr. P. K. Sarkar, Former Marketing Head, Fuji Film and Philips; Mr. Anirban Chaudhuri Vice President, Mudra Imagine and Mr. Ashutosh Joshi, Former Brand Head, O&M for their contribution in the field of Advertising, Academic affairs, Research and Training.
 
Mr. Prajjal Saha, Executive Editor, Brand Reporter Afaqs presented the award to Ms. Tara Sinha and other professionals along with the Vice President of EMPI Mr. Pankaj Saran. Speaking at the occasion Mr. Saha urged the advertising industry and marketing professionals to educate the consumers and emphasise on positive impact on audience for social growth. He reiterated that the professionalism must be the focal point for achieving excellence in career and industry. He spoke on current perspective of the market and requested the gathering from advertising and media to facilitate the teaching learning programme, academic engagement to train the budding managers currently under training with ground realities, brand performance and market movements.
 
Ms. Tara Sinha, Chairperson of the academic council of the Institute presided over the function and delivered the talk on “Future of Indian Advertising, Opportunities and Challenges” on the occasion”. She cited her long experience in India and abroad and enumerated various facets of brand positioning, product launching, marketing communication and research as an attributed factor towards brand building. She narrated her experience of Coke as a multinational brand launched in Indian Market and relates it with the current trend in brand promotion activities. She also urged the gathering to promote the ethical values and rising high standards for achieving long enduring success to educate, inform and entertain consumer for better results, their participation and support for the brand equity. She felt that extensive research, focused approach; competitive edge, benchmarking and consumer insights could be the effective methods for securing the confidence of the consumers and the better market movements. Dr. D. J. Pati, Dean of the Institute spoke on the occasion on 15 years of glorious past and achievements. He invited the attention of alumnus and representatives of the industry to support the institution building process and to train the young aspirants for the benefit of the market. Mr. Gurnam Saran, President EMPI Group of Institutions, deliberated on past, present and future aspects of EMPI group of Institutions and highlighted various attributed factors and discipline as the key learning curve sensitized to the students for creating a separate identity and to secure the confidence of the stakeholders.
 
The students of EMPI AdCoMM presented a light and sound show and musical extravaganza to mark the occasion with kaleidoscopic performances. The hundreds of participants and the gathering enjoyed the programme.
