Dr. Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor of NMIMS said that this year NMIMS had witnessed an increasing trend in the number of applications received for MBA admissions. There were already 45,000 students who had registered. He expected there would be 50,000 students appearing for NMAT this year. Commenting on the reasons of this growth in number of applications, he said that this can be attributed to the students learning experience at NMIMS, which included relevant curriculum; participant centered teaching methodology and a very strong industry partnership which has resulted in an extremely positive recruiter perception. This was reflected in the Economic Times survey early this year of the top B-Schools and subsequently by the Business World. NMIMS was also invited to join GMAC this year. Crisil had also rated NMIMS MBA program at A*** both at National and State level. All this makes NMIMS an ideal choice for MBA aspirants. He also commented that from this year NMIMS would be opening its doors to international students.
