NMIMS - Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering won the first prize at Smart India Hackathon Competition at IIT Roorkee. It is a remarkable feat and adds one more honour to the institute’s bouquet of prestigious awards. The competition was organised by MHRD at 48 different centres across India. The MPSTME team comprised six students and two faculty mentors Prof Pravin Shrinath and Prof Prachi Natu and our entry of Invoice Processing Using Robotic Process Automation won a cash prize of 1 lakh competing against 27 teams that included from reputed Institution.

This win at an all India level competition organised by MHRD at an IIT is indeed a noteworthy achievement for MPSTME and its students. It may be mentioned that MHRD (Included Many govt.organizations) along with KPG info system Pvt. Ltd. invited entries with problem statements. There were 2,00,000 student entries from all over India in the first phase. They were screened and 11,000 students were invited for the second phase at 48 centres across India.

This 36-hour non-stop event was judged by judges from Microsoft, KPG Infosystems and Professors from IITs and MHRD scholar representatives. The MPSTME first prize is in the category of Invoice Processing Using Robotic Process Automation which was given by MHRD and there were six more categories in addition to this.

The award is a perfect testimony to quality education and world-class learning which MPSTME has been imparting since 2007. MPSTME is ranked 2nd in Maharashtra’s Top Engineering Colleges of 2018 by Competition Success Review and 16th in Top Engineering Colleges in India by Outlook 2018.
