Prof.D.K. Srivastava, a Gold Medalist at PG level in Commerce stream with a Doctoral Degree from University of Allahabad has been appointed as Director at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.

Prof.D.K. Srivastava

An IIM Ahmedabad trained faculty (FDP Batch 1992) and with more than 30 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, research, training and consultancy. He has worked with top-notch academic and research Institutes like Shri Ram Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources, New Delhi and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai) as well as an Adjunct Faculty at IIM Lucknow. He was Dean, School of Management and Labour Studies for three years at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai Campus. Prior to joining LBSIM as Director, he was heading Guwahati Campus of TISS as Deputy Director (Pro- Vice Chancellor).

Previous Work Experience

He has worked with eminent Institutes such as Asia Graduate School of Business etc. He has provided leadership to Centre for Human Resource Management at TISS for five years and as a Dean, School of Management and Labour studies at TISS Mumbai for three years. Also, a leading trainer/resource person in about 30 Organisations. As a versatile administrator, he has been in strategic core committees like UGC NAAC, Institute of Eminence, Academic Council, UGC NET, among others. Guided more than 20 students at M.Phil./ Ph.D.

International Exposure

He was a Visiting Professor at Cairo University, Egypt, ICDD Kassel University Germany, Berlin School of Economics and Muenster University Germany and headed a delegation to Myanmar for collaborations with TISS.

Consultant

He has provided consultancy to many national and international agencies like ILO, FES Germany, Britannia, Philips, Goa Electricity Corporation, Pepsico International, Punjab and Sind Bank, Pepsico Fritolay, Tata Memorial Hospital, Asian Paints, Crompton Greaves, Indofil Industries, NTPC, Goa Shipyard Limited, Cummins India, among others.

He has completed about 25 research projects both at National and International levels. Most recent are with Skill Development and Conditional cash transfer scheme of UP Government. He has also a patent in his name.
