Two IFIM Group Institutions have been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems certification by Bureau Veritas . IFIM College has been recommended for the ISO 9001:2008 certification and IFIM Business School has been recommended for ISO 9001:2008 recertification.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification means that the quality of the Institute’s processes and standards are on par with international management systems. It also means that both IFIM Business School and IFIM College have instituted quality assurance methods in teaching, research and support services, and have built procedures for its maintenance. In formalizing and maintaining its quality assurance methods, it can be assured that education services and research quality remains at its best and all processes are executed efficiently. The QMS was implemented to document IFIM’s best practices, satisfy the requirements and expectations of the students and improve the overall management. Both IFIM B School and IFIM College were audited in March 2015 by Bureau Veritas, one of the world’s leading providers of independent assessment services, to review the completeness of documentation and to assess the effectiveness and implementation as well as the compliance of IFIM’s QMS to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Madhumita Chatterji, Director IFIM B School said “IFIM Institution’s achievement of the ISO 9001:2008 recertification strengthens and enforces its vision and promise to provide sustained quality academic and educational services, research and socially relevant curriculum for the benefit of all the students”
IFIM Institutions will continue to progress and distinguish themselves as pioneering education providers in India. An international certification like ISO creates immense opportunities for collaborations and partnerships with local and international organizations and the industry. It is an official validation that the QMS policies and procedures implemented are generating results, producing industry- ready professionals, and have the required experience and precision to meet student requirements and expectations
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a global network that identifies what International Standards are required by business, government and society, develops them in partnership with the sectors that will put them to use, adopts them by transparent procedures based on national input and delivers them to be implemented worldwide. Developed through global consensus, they help to cross the barriers to international trade. For more information about the ISO standardization system, visit www.iso.org.
