IMI transforms you as a complete Professional

Positioned as India’s first corporate sponsored business school, the International Management Institute (IMI) has consistently featured as one of the leading private business schools in India. True to its motto, ‘Shaping Global Leaders for Tomorrow,’ IMI prepares students to create a name for themselves in the professional business world.

The fact that IMI is sponsored by corporates means that it is closer to the industry than any other business school, which itself is a huge advantage that the students gain. This is because the school would be better placed to understand and adapt to the dynamic nature of the present business world and keep its students ahead of their peers from other business schools. Also, IMI is better placed to understand the needs and demands of the business world and how an executive should conduct himself/ herself and what is expected out of him/ her. All these insights can help the students of IMI inculcate in themselves the best habits and mould themselves into professionals.

Established in 1981, IMI is located in New Delhi with campuses in Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar. It was set up in collaboration with IMI Geneva and is sponsored by corporates, including reputed corporates such as RPG Enterprises, Nestle, ITC, Tata Chemicals, SAIL, BOC, WiliiamsonMagor and others. The school is equipped with State-of-the-Art infrastructure. Spacious lecture halls with latest presentation equipment like DLP Multimedia Projectors, Laptops, OHP Projectors, Internet and Intranet Connectivity, Computer Centre, Conference Room, Library are some of the facilities available for use by the students.

IMI encourages all round development of the students, and is not limited to academics. The school takes special initiatives, ranging from organizing special events focusing on current affairs to carefully planned symposia and lectures that enrich the participants' professional, academic and extra-curricular interests. The idea behind this is to enrich the lives of students both professionally and personally and put them in best situation to excel in their chosen domains.

As part of their endeavour to help their students carve out a niche for themselves and broaden their horizons, IMI collaborates with different business schools and universities around the world. Some of its collaborations include, IDRAC Business School, KEDGE Business School, ESC Rennes International School of Business in France, JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Finland, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and Zeppelin University in Germany, Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, Sichuan in China, International Centre for Promotion of Enterprises, Ljubljana in Slovenia and others. These collaborations expose students to international curriculum and business environment, groom their personality and give them a chance to excel in the business world.

IMI, New Delhi accepts CAT scores and GMAT scores (for foreign students and non-resident Indians). In addition to these, candidates are evaluated on the basis of past academic performances in graduation, class 12 and 10, extempore speaking, psychometric test, essay writing and personal interview, besides other qualitative parameters.

Student Committees play an important role in the growth of students and enables them to train for the real world outside. Some of the committees in which students are actively involved are Branding and Media Relations Committee, Corporate Relations and Placement Committee, International Relations and Executive Education Committee. Through these committees, students learn to assume responsibility and acquire new skills.

Thus, IMI offers an ideal environment for students to hone their skills and turn themselves into professionals, who will go out there to conquer the business world.
