You need to remain confident in PI

You need to remain confident in PI

The personal interview is a critical step in MBA admission process and should not be taken lightly. PI is aimed at knowing a candidate more intimately - assessing the clarity of thinking process, future goals and the 'fit'   factor with the B-school.

It provides the admission selection committee of a B school to evaluate your interpersonal and soft skills. With this aim MBA Rendezvous is presenting you PI tips so that you can be successful. Today you will read PI tips on: You need to remain confident in PI

Winning a situation needs confidence and, when you are seated in a PI you have almost reached your long awaited victory. It is very important to understand that this is the final stage of admission and, if you play it well you have the confirmation letter in your hand.

Just by saying “I am confident”, nobody can stay confident in an interview. It takes immense amount of preparation and a lot of peace works playing within the mind to make a person confident. When entering the interview room, you should always remember one thing that this is your subject and, you know it well.

You have been slogging for this interview since long, going through each and every book you could have kept your hands on. So, you are a master at it and, only fear can ruin the entire interview.

Once this is thoroughly instilled in your mind, you would give no room for fear. Obviously, confidence needs a lot of preparation. You need to have your hands completely on the subject in question. You should be aware of the latest happenings in the world and, track everything that is to be tracked.

When inside the interview room, your body language and posture should be relaxed delivering that confidence. Your eye contact and body language speak of your confidence. The tone should not go down for even a moment. When answering a question transfer your eye contact from one interviewer to another, exhibiting your confidence.

The reason being that most interviewers look at the way you answer, your style basically and not the content. Your content is irrelevant because that is why they are there, to teach you the content.

Your style or confidence is your own and, nobody can teach you that. This alone will help you win the interview.
