It offers students a fine blend of conventional and modern, providing a perfect environment that fosters holistic development in them.
The infrastructure at SDMIMD reflects a blend of the conventional and the modern. The institute builds on all the conventional facilities that form the foundation of a management institute. It has well equipped classrooms, spacious auditorium, computer centre, well stocked library, conference hall, hostels and other facilities that are essential to an institute. However, it has also infused modern facilities to this existing structure to make it relevant and in sync with the changing times.
For instance, the classrooms are equipped with LCD Projectors, OHP's Computers, White Boards & AV Systems, fully air conditioned computer centres with continuously upgraded hardware, a thriving amphitheatre for students to put up cultural performances and relax, a hi- tech gym and sports facilities, all ensure that the students are not deprived of the best facilities and resources.
SDMIMD believes in providing all round development opportunities to the students. It has designed the curriculum in such a way that the students extract the maximum out of their time in the institute. A rigorous, academic curriculum is complimented by personality enriching activities such as international symposiums and panel discussions, annual management fest, an active Centre for Research (CFR), inclusion of Yoga as part of the PGDM program, short term Management Development Programs (MDP) and so on. It offers a good mix of the traditional and modern aspects of education.
Admissions to the PDGM course at SDMIMD depends on the candidate’s CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT scores, following which they have to clear the Personal Interview. Their marquee course PGDM is compiled from contemporary industry practices and probing business case studies.
SDMIMD gives ample scope to students to expand their horizons. It sponsors international study tours for at least 20 students based on their performance. It has tie-ups with a number of reputed organisations around the world, such as Mays School of Business, Texas A&M University, USA, British University in Dubai, University of Pau and University of Bordeaux, France, University of Montevideo, Uruguay to name a few. The institute realises the significance of international exposure and hence, includes this as an integral part of the course.
