SNAP 2019 Exam Analysis

The SNAP 2019 exam was successfully conducted on Sunday 15th December 2019 across 87 test cities instead of 90. The SNAP 2019 exam in the cities of Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Shillong was postponed due to ongoing exigencies in those areas. The SNAP 2019 exam date will be communicated via email and SMS to respective candidates.

The SNAP 2019 exam saw significant changes in its exam pattern. The overall difficulty of the SNAP exam 2019 was not alarming for the students. Here is a complete section-wise analysis of SNAP 2019 paper. Read on to find out more details.

SNAP 2019 Exam Key Highlights

  1. The SNAP 2019 exam was conducted by Symbiosis International University.
  2. There were no technical glitches reported except that the exam in 3 cities – Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Shillong has been postponed.
  3. The SNAP 2019 exam pattern has significant changes.
  4. There were THREE sections instead of four in SNAP 2019 exam pattern.
  5. The total number of questions were 110, the maximum marks were 150 and time duration was 120 minutes.
  6. All questions in General English and Analytical & Logical Reasoning sections were 1.5 marks each. There were no special questions (TITA) for these sections. There was a negative marking of -0.375 marks.
  7. The normal questions in the Quant & DI section were 1 mark each with negative marking of -0.25 mark.
  8. There were 5 special questions (TITA) of 2 marks each in Quant & DI section. There was negative marking of -0.5 mark for every incorrect answer.
  9. The overall difficulty of SNAP 2019 exam was moderate.
  10. The SNAP 2019 cutoff is may rise since the difficulty was not very high.

  • There were 2 RC passages with 3 and 5 questions which were lengthy and tricky.
  • There were many vocab-based questions in form of synonyms, antonyms, fill in the blanks, odd one out. These questions were mostly easy
  • There were questions on verbal ability consisted of para jumbles and sentence correction which were of moderate difficulty.
  • There were around 10 to 11 grammar-based questions on parts of speech, figures of speech, voice change and fill in the blanks.
  • Overall the section was easy to medium difficulty.

  • LR section was a mix of easy and lengthy questions.
  • There were major number of questions on analytical reasoning
  • There were few unusual questions on 3d shapes and wall of a house.
  • Overall there were very less verbal reasoning questions.

  • The quant section was length and time consuming.
  • The calculations were intensive in most of the quant questions especially the TITA type.
  • Around 24 to 25 MCQs were easy.
  • The questions based on set theory were tricky and lengthy but solvable.
  • The DI questions consisted of table and pie chart. The questions were easy and not very time consuming.
