#8 How does SSB's admission process work? SSB follows a profile-based selection process with no fixed cutoff, no CAT score mandatory. Here's how it works:

  1. Application Form - Pay the application fee (₹1500–₹3,000 depending on intake) and fill in details on academics, work experience and extracurriculars
  2. Entrance Exams - SSB accepts CAT, GMAT, GRE or its in-house Scaler Management Test (SMT) for those without test scores
  3. Video Essay - Applicants submit a short video essay as part of their profile
  4. Interview Rounds - Shortlisted candidates go through 2–3 interviews including business case discussions. A preparation kit is shared once candidates reach this stage.

Engineers from IITs and professionals from Amazon, McKinsey and Uber have all been part of SSB's cohort alongside freshers with strong profiles.

#9 How is SSB's program structured? SSB's 18-month PGP-MT is divided into four phases:

  • Phase 1 - Core Business Fundamentals (6 months): Management & Strategy, Finance, Marketing & Branding, Data, Tech & Product, Operations
  • Phase 2 - Specialisations (6 months): Students choose up to two specialisations from the above domains
  • Phase 3 - Internship (3 months): Students gain industry experience through paid internships. 100% of SSB's founding cohort secured an internship from campus
  • Phase 4 - Placement Support (3 months): A dedicated placement team works closely with students to secure full-time roles
