1. Tell me something about XIM University?

XIM University is a private unitary university located in the state of Odisha. The University has been established in accordance with The Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013 and The Xavier University, Odisha (Amendment) Act, 2021. The University is a private self-financing institution of higher learning for imparting professional and technical education.

Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, a 35-year-old constituent B-School is the flagship school of the XIM University. Xavier Institute of Management was established in 1987, and it was offering PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-RM (all awarding diplomas), and FPM programs. These programs were introduced over a period of time. With the formation of XIM University (formerly Xavier University), Various Schools of Management have been created and these earlier programs have been renamed as MBA-BM, MBA-HRM, MBA-RM & PhD Programs, since XIM University as a University can award degrees. In terms of quality, content, duration, delivery etc., the MBA programs remain identical to the PGDM programs. MBA-BM has been awarded accreditation from National Board of Accreditation (NBA). MBA-BM, MBA-HRM, and MBA-RM have been awarded accreditation from South Asian Quality Assurance System (SAQS) for management education by the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA).

XIM University consists of Thirteen schools: Xavier Institute of Management, School of Human Resource Management, School of Rural Management, School of Sustainability, School of Human Settlements, School of Commerce, School of Communications, School of Economics, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Governance and Public Affairs, Xavier Law School, School of Liberal Arts and XAVIER-EMLYON Business School.

XIM University is ranked # 35th Management Institute in the Country in the Management category in the NIRF 2022 (National Institutional Ranking Framework MHRD, Govt. of India). 5. What is the Selection Process for MBA at XIM University?

Step 1: Applicants Shortlisting

Candidates will be shortlisted based on competitive exam scores.

Step 2: Applicant Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Step 3: Final Selection

Final selection will be made based on XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/ NMAT by GMAC (For Selected Programs) as well as in the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Step 4: Confirmation

The selected candidates will be informed by mail in the month of April 2024 (Tentatively).
