Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad, in collaboration with ActionAid Association, India, Urban Action School - ActionAid, World Urban Campaign, Urban Synergies Group, Australia is organizing an international conference during 15-16 September, 2020 on a virtual platform. The event would take stock of smart city development in the national and international context on the cutting edge issues in sustainable urban living including housing, water, energy, mobility, public services, pollution, green spaces, Internet of Things, and Information and Communication Technology through experience sharing, best practices, and case studies.
The event would be inaugurated by Dr Gregor (Greg) H Mews, Founder of Urban Synergies Group, Australia. Other dignitaries participating in the conference include Prof Chris Johnson, Chief Executive Urban Taskforce, Australia, Prof Amitabh Kundu, Distinguished Fellow, RIS, New Delhi, Dr Sunil Dubey, Institutional Advisor, University of Sydney and Mr R H Khwaja, IAS (Retd), former Secretary, Govt. of India. Mr K Madhava Rao, IAS (Retd), former Chief Secretary, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh would deliver Special Address. The event is Chaired by Mr Sandeep Chachra, Executive Director, ActionAid Association and Prof R K Mishra, Director, Institute of Public Enterprise. Dr Ch Lakshmi Kumari, IPE and Mr K T Suresh, ActionAid Associates are the event coordinators.
