DESPITE PANDEMIC IMPOSED SLOWDOWN, MICA GETS 68% NEW RECRUITERS FOR ITS SUMMER PLACEMENTS, RECORDS 100% PLACEMENT FOR CLASS 2022

DESPITE PANDEMIC IMPOSED SLOWDOWN, MICA GETS 68%

Despite the pandemic imposed slowdown, MICA, Ahmedabad, India’s premier institute for Strategic Marketing and Communication, witnessed a 68% increase in the new recruiters for its 2-month summer placements of the 2020-22 batch. The institute continued its 100% placement record for the 27th batch of its flagship PGDM-C and PGDM program.

A total of 83 companies partnered with MICA virtually and recruited  208 students sitting for the campus placements drive. Of the 208 students who participated in summer placements, 55% were females, and 45% were males. A tal of 101 students are engineering graduates, 33 students are commerce graduates (BBA, BBS, BMS), 16 from Arts and Humanities, and four from Mass Media.

SECTORIAL OVERVIEW:

Advertising agencies selected 51 students, making them the highest among the lot. Companies belonging to the E-commerce/IT/ITeS sector selected 30 students, followed by Analytics/BFSI/Consulting sector, and  Media sector selecting  28  students each, whereas Fast Moving Consumer Durables (FMCD) & Retail selected 25 students each.

The  FMCG   sector offered the highest stipend at  Rs 3.2  lakhs, followed by  E-commerce/IT/ITeS sector, offering Rs. 2.4 lakhs. The E-commerce sector also recorded the highest average stipend at Rs. 1.2 lakhs. The E-commerce and FMCG sector offered the highest median stipend at Rs. 1 lakh each.

ROLES OFFERED:

Students were offered internships in Sales & Marketing, Digital Engagement, Consumer Insights, Retail, Strategic Research, Business Development, Consumer Banking, Market research, Market analysis, etc.

New recruiters included - Ferrero India Pvt. Ltd., ITC Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra, McCann World Group, Wake Fit, Emami Ltd., The Glitch, The Hindu, upGrad, Applause Entertainment, Jio Creative Labs, Cultre, The Media Ant, Delhivery, Terribly Tiny Tales, Bosch Ltd. Purple Audacity, FCB Ulka Advertising Pvt. Ltd., Wellness Forever, Wealthbrick Entertainment, Madison Communications, Quicksand Design Solutions, Leapfrog Strategy, Ogilvy, Mid Day Infomedia Ltd. Sacred Communications Pvt. Ltd, among others.
