MBA Rendezvous is proud to host a round-table discussion along with FORE School of Management, New Delhi on the topic – “Role of NIRF in Improving the Quality of Higher Education in India” on Thursday, May 16th, 2019.

National Institutional Ranking Framework was approved and launched by Honorable Minister of Human Resource Development in September 2015. In April 2016, NIRF released the first rankings for more than 1000 institutions in India. Keeping in mind the different categories of institutes that are there in India, the committee has different rankings for each category. In 2019, 1479 institutions participated in the NIRF rankings. The rankings are done based on the following parameters:

  1. Teaching & Learning Resources
  2. Research & Professional Practice
  3. Graduation Outcome
  4. Outreach& Inclusivity
  5. Perception.

Rankings are crucial in building the brand and reputation of an institution and let students learn about the credibility of the courses they offer, along with other factors. They also play a vital role in helping the institutions to evolve on an academic and strategic front. Thus it is imperative that like minds from the fraternity ponder over the role that NIRF rankings can play in improving the quality of higher education in India.
