With the world shrinking into a global village and emerging economic boundaries, GSIB’s foremost focus is on providing holistic international exposure to its students to ensure sky is their limit. Some noteworthy points are:

  1. GSIB has international collaborations and exchanges with the following universities :
    1. Burgundy School of Business, Dijon, France
    2. International University of Paris, Paris, France
    3. Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China
    4. Kathmandu University School of Business (KUSOM), Kathmandu, Nepal
    5. Hanze University, Groningen, The Netherlands
    6. Northern Illinois University, Chicago, USA

  2. Students get the opportunity to be part of the International Immersion Program which helps them build an understanding of the International Business. The 2016-18 batch visited Dubai as part of this initiative
  3. Students get a chance to study one or two trimesters or do their summer internship projects at Burgundy School of Business, Dijon, France or International University of Paris
  4. As part of the faculty exchange program, members from international universities from the Netherlands, China and Nepal visit the campus
  5. There is a lot of inward flow of international students who come to the campus to study and live with fellow GSIB students.
  6. As part of the core module, the students can choose to learn a Foreign Language (French / German / Spanish / Chinese) during the first, second and third trimesters.
  7. The GSIB students get the required professional, academic, and cultural exposure along with excellent networking opportunities.

  1. The learning at GSIB is not only restricted to classroom teaching but breaks the shackles of traditional learning methods
  2. The pedagogy involves case-based teaching and project-based learning
  3. Activities such as Campus to Corporate Training, Management Professional Development Programs, Business Club, Management Games, and Social Projects help the students broaden their knowledge horizon
  4. As part of various clubs and there are many seminars and conferences conducted on the campus. Corporate professional and students from across India are invited, and interactive discussions take place.
Industry Connect

Focus on Industry Connect

GSIB focuses on bridging the industry-academia gap. It offers an industry-oriented curriculum and has industry linkages with IBM, Tech Mahindra, and Fluentgrid.

  1. GSIB offers a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) in collaboration with IBM. It has been jointly designed by faculty at GSIB and SMEs at IBM. The program is a mix of classroom teaching and technology-aided learning platform
  2. Students can also opt for Business Analytics electives with the other MBA programmes, as part of the GSIB-IBM collaboration
  3. GSIB provides a week-long Industry Interface. The students get to travel to important industrial cities in India under the guidance of a faculty member. It is an excellent marketing opportunity to showcase GSIB’s potential to the industry experts. Such exposure also opens gates for a summer internship and project opportunities
  4. GSIB fosters experiential learning via a special module. The students are required to work for two months in an organization after completing first-year coursework. It is an excellent means to apply all that they have learnt and build a base for the upcoming year.

Focus on Ideals

GSIB has a special focus on inculcating ethical and high-standard academic ideals (values) in its students:

  1. GSIB provides academic freedom to its students and faculty members to pursue knowledge. The classroom discussions are an apt example of this. The learning happens via a two-way road between students and faculty members
  2. GSIB is one big family which is diverse and has students from about 20 states across the country and many international students from countries like South Africa, France, and the USA to name a few.
  3. The students and faculty actively participate in the institutions' decision-making processes
  4. GSIB works hand in hand with partnering institutes, industry, and society as a whole. It works towards implementing ethical business practices and vows to follow an ethical code of conduct
