Solution of corruption

After having cleared cutoff scores at MBA Institute, you will be invited for Group Discussion and now it is must for you to practice with variety of GD topics.

Read and develop points for discussion and make sure that you are concluding with conviction

Read GD Topic:

"Solution of corruption is a mirage till we catch top public figure"

Number of participants : 6
Time : 20 Minutes

A- The topic of discussion is of very serious nature but unfortunately we all discuss around coffee table but do nothing. We must initiate the action first within ourselves and vow that corruption is a virus which needs to be wiped off from society and I will be contributing to this cause.

B- The statement is quite apt. India, once known as the Golden Sparrow, has been robbed of all its past wealth, splendor and glory, thanks to corrupt politicians

C- Unless, the real culprit is not caught and put behind bars, so as to set up an example for the teeming millions, nothing substantial will change.

D- I totally agree - pointing fingers, introducing policies, is not enough. Real culprits must be fined heavily and the strictest sentences should be pronounced against them. Also, merely doing this is not sufficient, the citizens must be encouraged to conceive of their nation as a sacred entity, as a unit composed of them, as their motherland that has given them so much, without asking for anything in return. Though such a belief may sound a little 'out-dated' or 'pre-modern', unless one changes one's attitude towards both - giving and taking bribes - not much changes will be seen or felt in the Indian polity.

E- We are deluding ourselves if we do not catch the real culprits and ensure that acts of corruption are not repeated. Corruption drains the nation of its wealth, legitimately meant to be in the hands of its people and the policy-makers. It gives birth to an unhealthy environment which produces mediocre citizens who are not very competent or motivated, since they understand that true merit will not lead them anywhere. They need to ensure a strong 'jack' or 'approach' to get where they want to go.

F - Corruption goes against the ideals of democracy, which inherently ensures the participation of each and every citizen in the decision - making process. It benefits only those who are in power, whereas the others are left forever at their mercy.

Conclusion - Corruption is an evil that needs to be rooted out from within. Corruption halts the nation's progress in all fields - social, economic, political, cultural and so on. It is a blot on the nation. It prohibits foreign investment, which is quite beneficial for the country. It is important to identify and weed out the fountainheads of corruption in the nation.
