Big Data Analytics is the crucial process of analysing large sets of data to decode all kinds of meanings within that data set and arrive at conclusions. It is that process that helps organisations make informed business decisions by finding hidden patterns, market trends, consumer preferences and any other useful information from the given data.
Data is the king in the fast evolving world of business. All decisions taken by an organisation, from what should an organisation produce to how should it market what it produces to customer choices and feedback, is dependent on data and information collected through various mediums. Big Data Analytics is still an emerging area of study and GIM has taken the lead in becoming the first institute in the country to launch a two-year fully residential Programme in BDA. Already, a batch of 60 students is enrolled in the PGDM-BDA batch of 2018-20. GIM has associated with SAS for lab sessions and this course will be taught by SAS-accredited faculty. Furthermore, GIM is also partnering with some companies through a novel concept of "Industry Associates" who would offer a chance to the students to work on live industry problems.
