GSIB Entrance Test 2019 (GET 2019): Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, and GSIB 2019 Complete Admission Process

Apart from the standard scores like CAT 2018, XAT 2019, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, and NMAT scores, GSIB conducts its very own management entrance test - GSIB Entrance Test 2019 (GET’19).

GSIB Entrance Test 2019 (GET 2019) is paper-based aptitude exam which tests the student’s Mathematical, DI, and English language skills along with international business general knowledge.

Below is the list of important dates regarding GSIB 2019 application form and GET 2019 exam

GSIB 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must meet the below eligibility criteria for applying to three two-year MBA programs:

GSIB Eligibility Criteria
  1. Graduate (after 10+2) from a recognized university with 50% marks (or Second Class) or equivalent CGPA
  2. Students whose Final Year Degree results are due can also apply. The last date to submit proof of degree is 10th September 2019
  3. Any one of the valid test score with minimum cutoff - GET 2019 or CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT

GSIB 2019 Admission Criteria

The admission process for the MBA (2019-21) is:

  1. The eligibility will be same as mentioned in “Eligibility Criteria” section above

  2. Any one of the acceptable test scores

GSIB 2019 How to Apply

Indian and Foreign Nationa/NRIs can apply for the MBA (2019-21) courses in the following ways:

  1. Online: Fill GSIB 2019 online application form and pay the application fee (GSIB 2019 Admission Fee and/or GET 2019 Application Fee) on www.gsib.gitam.edu
  2. Offline: Download GSIB 2019 application form from www.gsib.gitam.edu and submit with a DD and other relevant documents. The GSIB 2019 application form should be sent through courier to the following adress

GSIB Admission Fees

GSIB 2019 Admission Fees

  1. The cost of the application form is:
    1. GSIB 2019 Application Form (including INR 500 for GET 2019 Application Form): INR 1500
    2. GSIB 2019 Application Form (including other test scores): INR 1000
  2. The application fee for NRI & Foreign Nationals USD 30
  3. The payment mode that can be used are:
    1. Online mode - Net-banking / Credit / Debit card
    2. Demand Draft – DD in favor of "GITAM School of International Business," payable at Visakhapatnam
  4. The application fee for GET 2019 and/or GSIB 2019 admission is non-refundable
  5. A single application form is enough for all four programmes. Students can mention their order of preferrence in one common application form.

  1. Go to www.gsib.gitam.edu and click on “New Applicant” button Online Registration
  2. Register using email-id, date of birth, choice of degree, mobile number and password Online Registration

GSIB 2019 How to Fill Online Application Form

  1. Login using email-id/application form number and password How to Fill Online Application Form
  2. Fill all mandatory details – perosnal, academic and professional (if applicable)
  3. Upload photograph with size not more than 50 KB in jpg/jpeg format only
  4. Upload all the mandatory documents and certificates in PDF format only
  5. Upload all the mandatory documents and certificates in PDF format only
    1. Photocopy of 10th & 12th/Intermediate Class Pass and Mark Sheet
    2. Photocopies of Degree Marks Sheet, and provisional certificate
    3. Photocopy/ies of valid CAT/XAT/MAT/C-MAT/NMAT/GMAT/GET Admit Cards/Score Cards
  6. Select “Payment” option from the menu to make online fee payment

Please note: Make sure to refer your GSIB 2019 application number for all your future correspondence.

GSIB 2019 Selection Process

  1. Fill GSIB 2019 application and pay the application fee (any mode you choose)
  2. Select the test score you are applying through – GET 2019 or CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT
  3. GET 2019: Those applying via GET 2019 will have to write the GSIB Entrance Test 2019 (GET 2019) on 24th February 2019 followed by GD and PI rounds on the same day
  4. Other Entrance Test: The applicants with any other valid test score have two options:
    1. Conventional Method: Apply using CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT test score followed by GD and PI
    2. Online Mode: Applicanats can give the Micro Presentation & Personal Interview via Skype. You can choose the slots which are available from Oct’18 to Feb’19 on every Saturday between 10 am to 4 pm (excluding holidays)
  5. Those who get selected will be offered provisional admission into the programme they have chosen. The selected canddiate needs to pay INR 50000 as a commitment fee for further process of admission. The commitment fee will be adjusted in the first instalment amount

Please Note: In case an applicant chooses to withdraw the admission before the commencement of the programme, INR 5000 (+ 18% GST) will be deducted from the commitment fee, and the remaining amount will be refunded by the central administration after closer of admissions for the academic year 2019-20.

GSIB GET 2019: GSIB Entrance Test 2019 Key Highlights/Instructions

  1. GET 2019 is a paper-based test with NO negative makring
  2. The total time is 2 hours for 120 questions
  3. There is no sectional time limit
  4. The students need to tick (√) the correct answer in a separate answer sheet using a black or blue ball point pen
  5. In case you wish to change a response, please cross (X) the incorrect answer and mark the right answer with a new tick (√)
  6. You can only change your answer once
  7. The space around the questions in the question booklet is for rough work. Nothing should be written on the answer sheet.
