IBSAT Syllabus 2024

The IBSAT 2024 exam is a national level MBA entrance exam which will be conducted by ICFAI Business School on 28^th and 29^th December 2024 this year. The difficulty level of the IBSAT exam is not very high. IBS has defined the exam syllabus for IBSAT exam 2024.

IBSAT which is conducted by ICFAI Business School and students need to note that with IBSAT you would be able to enter into the ambit of ICFAI University.

IBSAT will be held on  28^th and 29^th December 2024 for 2 programmes i.e MBA and PGPM. Exam Duration will be 2 hours. IBSAT Result will be out in 1^st week of January 2025. Nature of IBSAT is that students are tested out more for quantitative skills and Language usage hence IBSAT has been divided into 4 sections namely, Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.

Students would be getting 140 questions with equal 140 marks but there is no negative marking.

Students need to understand that for language usage skills IBSAT tests you for your vocabulary, comprehending the unseen paras along with synonyms and antonyms.

Reading comprehension in IBSAT can be tricky because you are deliberately given the paras which are jumbled in nature and later you have to answer correctly, but there should not be any guess work.

1. There are 4 sections - Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation.
2. In all there are 140 questions divided among 4 sections.
3. There is no negative marking and +1 for every correct answer.
4. The exam duration is 2 hours or 120 minutes.

Verbal Ability section has 50 questions. The topics covered under this section are:

3. Contextual usage
4. English Grammar
5. Idioms and Phrases
6. Incorrect words
7. Para Jumble
8. Punctuation
9. Replace the missing words
10. Sentence completion
11. Spot the error

The RC section has 30 questions. Some important points to remember regarding this section are:

1. There will be 4 unseen passages.
2. Each passage will be around 500-600 words long.
3. There will be 6-8 questions under each passage.
4. The questions asked will be either direct or inferential.

The Quantitative Aptitude section has 30 questions in all. This section tests candidate’s mathematical and logical skills. The topics covered in this section are:
