MICAT Exam 2025 : About

MICAT 2025 is MICA Admission Test 2025. It is a management entrance test conducted twice a year by the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad for getting admissions into their flagship programme – Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM – C) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) session 2025-27.

MICAT Exam 2025 : Important Dates

The MICAT 2025 exam is conducted twice a year. Students can choose to give either MICAT-I or MICAT-II or both the exams. During the final consolidation of the scores, the better of the two MICAT scores are considered.

MICAT Exam 2025 : Registration

  1. The MICAT 2025 application fee is INR 2100. The application fee is non-refund able.
  2. Currently the MICAT-I registration forms are available on the website.
  3. Once a candidate registers successfully on the website, they will receive a MICA ID and MICA Password. Using those credentials they can further go ahead and fill the MICAT-I Application Form.

Please Note: You need an Internet Explorer (version 11 and above) or Mozilla Firefox (version 50 to 61) or Google Chrome (version 50 to 69) in order to fill in the MICAT I

MICAT Exam 2025 : Eligibility Criteria

The basic requirements for MICAT 2025 exams are:

  1. Candidates must have a Bachelor degree in any discipline or an equivalent recognized by The Association of Indian Universities.
  2. Those in their final year of graduation can also apply.
  3. The Bachelor degree must be of the system 10+2+3 or an equivalent.
  4. Those with a creative and analytical streak and who can conceive and express their ideas fluently, stand a better chance.

MICAT Exam 2025 : Exam Pattern & Round Details

Step 1: CAT/XAT/GMAT

  1. Students can apply using CAT 2024, XAT 2025 & GMAT 2023 onwards.
  2. The above scores must be updated on the website on or before January 16, 2024.

Step 2: MICAT

  1. The MICAT 2025 exam will have 3 sections, based on the performance of which the students will be shortlisted for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).
  2. The overall weightage of MICAT exam is 25%.
  3. The Section A (Psychometric Round) acts a qualifier.
  4. The MICAT 2025 mock test will be released on the official website so that students can get a fair idea about the exam pattern and details.
  5. The exam pattern of MICAT exam is:

Step 3: GE & PI

Group Exercise (GE)

  1. It is a team based round.
  2. Candidates are evaluated in reference to their group members.
  3. GE is not a qualifier round. There is no screening done after this round.
  4. The overall weightage of this round is 20%.

Personal Interview (PI)

  1. This is a one-on-one round where the candidate interacts with a panel.
  2. The candidates are evaluated on their ‘Creative Leadership in Strategic Marketing and Communication’.
  3. This is final round in the selection process.
  4. The overall weightage of this round is 30%.

MICAT Exam 2025 : Selection Process

Those candidates who have appeared for either CAT/XAT/GMAT are qualified to apply for and write the MICAT-I or II exam. The Section A (Psychometric Test) is the qualifier round in order to move further down the selection process.

While short listing the candidates for GE & PI round, the following are kept in mind:

  1. Those who apply using multiple scores such as CAT 2024 and/or XAT 2025 and/or GMAT (2023 onwards), only the best out of three is considered.
  2. Those who appear for both MICAT-I and MICAT-II, their scores will be normalised and better of the two will be used for the final selection process.
  3. Normalised Scores (based on standardised statistical methods) will be used for each section while calculating the relative performance of students.
  4. While preparing the final GE & PI list both CAT/XAT/GMAT scores and MICAT-I and/or II scores are given equal weightage (50% each).
  5. Out of the total number of students applying for MICA’s PGDM-Cn or PGDM, roughly 10% clear for the GE & PI rounds.

MICAT Exam 2025 : Result & Cutoff

The MICAT-I & II results will be released on December 7, 2024 and February 14, 2025.

MICAT-I and MICAT-II scores are normalized using standardized statistical methods. This includes the overall score and sectional score.

The MICAT cutoffs are based on previous year MICAT data and performance of students.

MICAT Exam 2025 : Admit Card

  1. The MICAT 2025 admit card is available online on www.mica.ac.in
  2. Candidates can download the MICAT 2025 hall ticket by logging in on the official website using the MICA ID and MICA Password
  3. The MICAT-I Admit Cards will be out on December 04, 2024.
  4. The MICAT-II Admit Cards will be out on February 14, 2025.
  5. The MICAT 2025 Admit card will contain your – Name, Application Number, Exam Center, Exam Date, & Time.
