Management Development Institute Murshidabad’s mission is to impart value-based education to its students. The two-year full-time Post Graduate Program in Management is designed to enhance the managerial competence of students. Apart from offering academic rigour, students at MDI Murshidabad are involved in a wide range of social responsibility initiatives. They are constantly motivated to contribute to the society and be responsible & ethical professionals & citizens.
MDI Murshidabad has a dedicated Social Responsibility committee PRAYAS which organizes a host of events all through the year. Some of the ways in which MDI Murshidabad gives back to the community are:
Conducted a Career Guidance Camp for the students of Don Bosco School, Monigram.
Raise funds and provide basic educational stationeries to children of underprivileged families.
Work in collaboration with colleges of Murshidabad to get the underprivileged meritorious students of the district to avail higher education.
Students have been involved in teaching children at the Kulori village.
Regular tree plantation drives are organized.
Conscious efforts are made to limit the use of private vehicles and implement the 3Rs in the campus – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Blood donation camps are regularly organized in collaboration with local hospitals.
Organize campaigns within the campus to create awareness about saving water, food and electricity. Drives such as Target “0 kg Food Waste” are regularly run within the campus.
“Joy of Giving” week is celebrated with much fervor in the campus. Students and staff are encouraged to donate old/new clothes, back packs, note books, pens, color sketches and other miscellaneous items etc.
MDI Murshidabad recently replaced flower bouquets with Tree Certificates with the help of Grow-Trees.com to gift the guests visiting the campus.
The experience that a b-school offers is as important as the curriculum it offers. MDI Murshidabad definitely promised a holistic experience in this respect.
