Solution
Correct option is
(B)
Explanatory Answer :
Let the total vanilla flavoured ice-cream produced = a
Let the total banana flavoured ice-cream produced = b
Thus,
30% of a = 40% of b ( As ratio is 1:1) (1)
= ab = 43
Adding 1 to both sides of the equation -
= ab + 1 = 43 + 1
= (a+b)b = 73
= b(a+b) = 37
Total ice-cream mixed = 0.3a + 0.4b = 0.4b + 0.4b = 0.8b ( Using eq 1)
Percentage of overall ice-cream mixed = 0.8b(a+b)×100
= 0.8×37×100
= 34.28%
