Rajalakshmi School of Business – 3Cs You Need to Know

The curriculum at Rajalakshmi School of Business is a blend of core and soft skills courses.

The programme is divided into three parts – Zero Term, First Year and Second Year

Zero Term:

1. It is a 10-day orientation programme
2. It aims to bring students from different academic backgrounds to a common platform
3. It introduces students to mathematics, accounting and management basics
4. It prepares them for academic and non-academic life at RSB

First Year:

1. It consists of 3 Trimesters.
2. Students are taught core courses in all the functional areas – Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Operations & Quantitative Techniques, Economics, Systems, and Human Resource Management.
3. There are Career Enhancement Training courses which focus on communication, personality and language development.
4. Students undergo 8-10 week long summer internship in a reputed organization, working on a project in any functional area.

Second Year:

1. It consists of 3 Trimesters.
2. It focuses on elective courses in areas such as – Marketing, Business Analytics, Finance, HR and Operations.
3. Students must opt for 14 elective courses.

Rajalakshmi School of Business has a dedicated Corporate Relations Team working under the guidance of Management, the Board of Directors and the Advisory Council.

The aim of the corporate relations team is to connect campus and corporate (industry).

It introduces the students to current industry trends by organizing seminars and guest lectures.

Corporate Relations Team also offers career guidance to students at RSB.

Companies from different sectors including Services, Auto, Manufacturing, Chemicals, e-commerce, FMCG and IT visit the campus and participate in the recruitment drive during the placement week.

It helps students with mock GDs, personal interviews, aptitude tests, understanding and appreciation of important current issues, and fine tuning of resumes.
