Symbiosis SNAP MBA 2023 - Registration Form, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Important Date

SNAP Exam Date: 10th December 2023

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) will be held on the 10th, 17th and 22nd December 2023. The SNAP 2023 official notification is released.  The SNAP 2023 exam is your gateway to 26 MBA programs offered at 16 institutes affiliated to Symbiosis International University via single SNAP 2023 application form.

 

SNAP 2023 is a computer-based test which will be 60 minutes long. There are Three sections –

  1. General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability  
  2. Analytical & Logical  Reasoning
  3. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency

SNAP 2023 exam has:

  1. Total 60 questions – MCQs 
  2. There is negative marking. For every wrong answer 25% marks will be deducted
  3. The total duration is 60 minutes and there is no sectional time limit.
  4. The maximum marks are 60 marks.

SNAP 2023 exam will be conducted across 94 cities in India. Candidates can choose up to 3 options for centers for exam and the most suitable exam center will be allotted based on your location.  

 

Important Information on SNAP Test

  1. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national level management entrance exam, administered by Symbiosis International University (SIU).
  2. SNAP 2023 is your gateway to 16 Symbiosis institutes.
  3. The SNAP 2023 application process begins on 23rd August  2023 
  4. The test will be held online on the 10th, 17th and 22nd December 2023.
  5. SNAP Test Admit Card 2023 can be printed from the SNAP website which will be available from 4th December 2023.
  6. The test will be conducted in 84 cities in India. A candidate will get three preferences to choose the cities.
  7. Candidates must register for SNAP Test and institutes of their choice by paying separate programs registration fees.
  8. Those shortlisted based on SNAP 2023 score will be called for further rounds – GE, PI, and WAT. These rounds are conducted individually by each institute.
  9. The questions are of MCQ type. 
  10. Each wrong answer deducts 25% from the correct marks.
  11. There are 60 questions, and maximum marks are 60.
  12. The maximum time is 60 minutes, and candidates can toggle between sections and questions.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2023

Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should apply for SNAP 2023. The criteria as follows:

  1. The candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
  2. Also, selective programs will require specific subject specialization. Please check here.
  3. Candidates who have completed a qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  4. All foreign degrees/ qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any program of SIU.
  5. Evaluation Division of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) issues equivalence certificate for foreign degrees/qualifications. The contact details are as below:

SNAP 2023 Registration Process

  • Candidates can apply for SNAP 2023 exam by registering at the official website - snaptest.org.
  • Candidates must give their Correct Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Email Address in the  SNAP registration process as these details cannot be changed.
  • Candidates can make specific changes in the online application form only until the last date of registration.
  • NO change can be made in the test city preferences once the candidate has completed the online payment for SNAP 2023
  • Candidates must upload their latest color passport-size photo at the time of SNAP 2023 online registration. The photograph should not be more than three months old. At all times the candidates are advised to ensure the information they are filling is accurate and correct.

SNAP 2023: Computer-Based Exam Pattern for the test

  • The duration of the SNAP test is one hour (60 Minutes).
  • The test follows an MCQ (Objective) format wherein each question lists four options out of which a student has to select the right answer. (Only for Normal Questions)
  • For special questions in each section will have blanks where answers will have to be entered by the candidate by using the virtual keyboard. For example, if question is “What is the capital of Australia?” The candidate needs to enter the answer as CANBERRA by using the virtual keyboard
  • Normal Questions carry one mark for each question, and Special Questions carry two marks for each question.
  • ¼ marks (25%) are deducted for every wrong answer for normal and special questions .

SNAP 2023 Admit Card

  • Test takers are advised to take the print out of their SNAP 2023 Admit Card from the SNAP website.
  • Candidates must ensure to fix their latest passport size, colour photograph on the SNAP 2023  Admit Card. (The picture should not be more than three months old).
  • Candidates must carry their SNAP 2023 Admit Card along with Photo Identity proof to the Test Centre on the day of the exam. An acceptable photo identity proofs are any one of the following

SNAP 2023: List of Test Centers

  1. SNAP 2023 Test will be conducted in 84 cities all over India.
  2. A candidate can select up to three preferences.
  3. SNAP authorities will entertain no ‘change of test city’ requests once a candidate has completed online payment for SNAP Test 2023.
  4. The SNAP 2023 Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card.
  5. SNAP authorities ensure that a candidate gets a test city as per his/her preferences. In some exceptional circumstances, a different test city in nearby area may be allotted.
  6. As per the official SNAP test website – Symbiosis Test Secretariat reserves the right to change or allot a city other than the one requested by the candidate in the event of the requested city not being available for any reason.

SNAP Test Result

SNAP 2023: Result: 10th January 2024 

The result of SNAP test will be announced by Symbiosis International University (SIU) on 10th January 2023 . Candidates can check their result on the official website of SNAP. Candidates can login through their user id and password. They can check their result on February 2024 . The scorecard will have sectional and overall scores acquired by the applicants. Students will be shortlisted for Group Exercise (GE), and Personal Interview (PI) and written ability test (WAT). However, they are advised to save their scorecard at the earliest to avoid any problem at the time of admission.

On the basis of SNAP score card, the participating institutes will prepare category-wise merit list based on SNAP score and performance in GE, PI and WAT. Category-wise cut off for Merit List and Wait List will be displayed on the website of the respective institutes.

Guidelines for Test Day

  • Candidates are required to report at the Test Centre by 9:00 AM, for the verification process which includes – Admit Card, ID Proof and Digital Finger print scan and Biometrics will also be taken.
  • The SNAP Online Test 2023 will finish at 12.00 noon, candidates are advised to complete their test on time as under any circumstances NO EXTRA TIME will be given to any candidate.
  • Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built in calculators/ memory or any electronics gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall.
  • Admit Card and ID proof will be checked by the test invigilator.
  • Candidates can attempt any section in any order in the given time i.e. 60 minutes from 11.00 AM. to 12.00 Noon.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the hall till 12:00 noon. After submission of the test a candidate will not be allowed to re-enter the test hall.
  • Candidates found using any unfair means will forfeit their chance of being considered for admission and will be debarred from receiving SNAP 2023 scores.
  • Differently Abled category candidates are requested to contact STS with scanned copies of their Medical Certificates for ascertaining percentage of their disability. (email: [email protected]). Candidates failing to do this will be considered under the Open Category.
