Earlier known as Nirma Institute of Management, the Institute of Management, Nirma University was also founded by the Padma Shree awardee, Dr. Patel, in the year 1996. 1.  MBA- Full Time

The Masters of Business Administration is a 2-years long course with 240 available seats, which includes a Summer Project of the duration- 8 to 10 weeks, along with Dissertation in the second year. The residential Program follows the trimester system, and is an amalgamation of core and elective courses. It offers dual specializations (major and minor) in year two. The Program runs across the following significant themes: Internationalism, Ethics, Information System, and Business.

Eligibility

• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any disciple from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, or an equivalent CGPA
• Final year graduates can also apply, provided they give a proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by the 20^th of September, 2018
• The candidate must have appeared for CAT, 2017

Admission Process

• The first step for the candidate is to register and apply
• Based on the candidate’s CAT score, he/she shall be short-listed for the Personal Interview and Theme Development & Presentation
• The CAT score, performance in PI, TDP, and Academic Attainments in X, XII, and graduation, along with the candidate’s work experience, shall decide the final selection
• The weightage of all facets of Admissions are as follows:

1). CAT- 60%

2). PI- 20%

3). TDP- 10%

4). Academia- 10%

• The Personal Interview is to be conducted between- February and March, 2018

2. MBA- Family Business and Entrepreneurship

Running over 2 academic years, with 60 available seats, the Program is divided into three terms of twelve weeks each. The first three terms consist of Foundation courses, that are mandatory, while the next three terms comprise of Elective courses based on two streams of specialization: Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management. The curriculum of this Program too includes 8-10 weeks of Summer Internship, to impart the students with experiential learning. Besides the Internship, the students are required to prepare a Business Plan in the second year, and undertake one Industry visit either Nationally or Internationally, and prepare a report on the same.

The Program’s curriculum is built upon the foundation of in-depth interactions with Business Kinsfolks, Entrepreneurs and Experts on the subject. Hence, the Program shapes up the students professionally and ingenuously.
