Some of B schools and even new IIMs have replaced GD with WAT hence, Written Analysis Test has also become a tool to test MBA aspirant on assessing overall communication and personality, so it is also equally important and crucial component of MBA admission process.
Read WAT topic: I am a hardworking person
Colin Powell, former US Secretary of State, once said, “A dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work”. I agree with Colin Powell and believe that it is only through hard work that one can achieve his goals.
Since young, I have been a hardworking person and this trait of mine has helped me to excel in both academics and extra-curricular activities. Every semester, I would come up with a study timetable and plan out my activities accordingly. Even today, I plan my schedule for the day so that I do not miss out on any important engagement or activity.
In school, whenever I had difficulty understanding a concept or a theory, I would either go to the library and read the encyclopedia or approach my teacher, who would help me in areas I was weak. I never believed in procrastination and always cleared my doubts on the spot.
No individual gained success in life without hard work – Bill Gates, Narayana Murthy, Sunil Mittal, and Azim Premji are some of the greatest businessmen in the world who worked hard to realize their goals. Even though they faced many obstacles in life, they never gave up. They are my role models and just like them, I hope to become a successful businessman through hard work and perseverance.
I strongly believe in the proverb “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”; so, I work hard and play hard too. Every week, I go to the gymnasium and play a sport with my friends. This way, I keep my mind alert and my body fit.
Hard work never goes unrewarded or unnoticed, which is why I continue to work hard despite facing challenges in life. Gordon B Hinckley, a religious leader, was right when he said, “Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds”. And with this saying at the back of my head, I work hard every day with the hope that one day, the fruits of my labor will be sweet.
