IRMA MBA Courses Structure, Curriculum & Pedagogy

  • IRMA Anand offers a two-year full-time ACITE approved Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM).

  • The PGDRM is recognized as equivalent to a Master's degree in Rural Management by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

  • The PGDRM curriculum is divided into four diverse segments which are mutually supportive of each other:

    • Classroom Segment
    • Village Fieldwork Segment
    • Development Internship Segment
    • Management Internship Segment
  • The first year consists of three terms which include foundation management subjects and rural management specific subjects along with the Village Fieldwork Segment.

  • The second year is a mix of Summer Internship Segment and choice of electives.

  • The overall curriculum focuses on experiential learning and emphasizes the following:

    • Inculcating institutional values & principles
    • Providing exposure to villages
    • Understanding the philosophy and practice of development interventions
    • Developing practical skills and gain a realistic idea of the managerial functions of rural organizations

IRMA Admissions Process

  • The last date to register for IRMA admissions 2020 is around January 2020 for Indian students and March 2020 for International students.

  • The admission process at IRMA Anand for Indian students is based on:

  • The eligibility for Indian students is:

    • Must have a Bachelor degree (10+2+3 or an equivalent) in any discipline with 50% marks (45% SC/ST/DAP) or be in the final year of graduation.

  • IRMA Anand conducts IRMA Social Awareness Test (IRMASAT) which is MCQ-based test. The highlights of the test are:

    • Four exam sections - Issues of Social Concern (60), English Comprehension (40), Analytical Reasoning (50), Quantitative Ability (50)

    • Time Duration: 80 minutes
