Institute of Rural Management Anand was established in 1979 by Dr. Verghese Kurien.
IRMA Anand is India’s leading school in rural management committed to bringing significant change and transformation in the rural sector.
The first batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) started in 1980.
In the last four decades, nearly 2800 students have graduated in rural management discipline. They have made significant contributions in the rural policy making of India and enjoy top leadership positions in many organizations across India and the world.
IRMA Anand promises its students a lush green campus spread over sixty acres of land with world-class infrastructure.
IRMA has an excellent library with close to 41,0000+ books and 15,000+ journals. The library is spread across three levels and is fully automated. The library houses full-text journals and financial and socio-economic journals like EBSCO (a package of six different subject areas), ABI/Inform (Proquest), JSTOR, Elsevier, Sage, CMIE, Indiastat.com, EPWRF, and DELNET.

IRMA Anand offers a two-year full-time ACITE approved Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM).
The PGDRM is recognized as equivalent to a Master's degree in Rural Management by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
