The admission process at IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh takes in account the candidate’s performance in CAT.
The following cut-offs shown in below Table will be used for selecting eligible candidates for all subsequent stages. Therefore, the CAT-2014 score is the single criterion used as the basis for arriving at the first short-list.
Table: Minimum CAT - 2014 Percentile
|Minimum Percentile Requirements for the first shortlist (2015)*|
|Category||Seats Available||Section 1||Section 2||Overall|
QA=Quantitative Ability; DI=Data Interpretation
VA=Verbal Ability; LR=Logical Reasoning
Stage 2: Criteria for Final Selection of the Candidates
The candidates who had applied to the proposed new “IIM in Himachal Pradesh” at the time of CAT-2014 registration and also meet the cut-offs shown in table above, would be receiving an email from IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. These candidates will be provided a link to the registration page where they MUST express and reconfirm their desire to pursue their candidature further for the admission to PGP in management at “IIM Sirmaur” by a stipulated date.
IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh will use the WAT & PI scores provided by IIM Udaipur which has coordinated the process for new IIM’s.
Selection at this stage will strictly be based on the ranks of the candidates computed separately for each category (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/DAP) on the basis of their Final Scores (FS). The numbers selected in different categories will be in proportions mandated by the law.
The FS of a candidate, who meet the CAT-2014 cut-offs mentioned in above table and who expresses and reconfirms his/her desire to pursue the candidature further by the stipulated date, will be computed using the following rule:
70% weightage to CAT Score
10% weightage to WAT scores
20% weightage of PI scores
