Under this initiative, every year, the students at BIMTECH get the opportunity to go for exchange programs in a long list of prestigious institutions as partner institutions spread across the globe, many of which are accredited by AACSB, EFMD, and AMBA.

The exchange program is available to students in either their first or second year, who may opt to spend one or two trimesters at any of the partner schools. In addition, some eligible candidates are awarded scholarships by the host institutions in partner schools to enable access to international education.

In the academic year 2019-20, BIMTECH Notable grants included 

• The Endeavour Leadership Program Grant from the Australian Government in collaboration with Sydney Business School, 

• The ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility Grant from FH Joanneum in Austria, 

• The ERASMUS International Mobility Grant from Kozminski University in Poland. 

• The Ernst Mach Grant from the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research was awarded for the year 2020-21.

Through its exchange program, international students also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in BIMTECH’s rich academic environment. The process begins with BIMTECH sending invitations to partner universities, which then nominate students for the exchange program. Interested students apply online and, upon selection, receive an invitation letter from BIMTECH. 

International students can study for one or two trimesters, with a credit transfer facility ensuring their academic progress is recognized. BIMTECH also provides boarding and lodging facilities of international standards, making the transition smooth for incoming students. These experiences foster a multicultural learning environment and offer students a global perspective on business management.

At BIMTECH, the summer internship program is an essential component of the curriculum, designed to enhance students' credentials, test new situations, and position management graduates for future career steps. Recruiters place significant value on the Summer Internship Project report during final placement interviews, making it a crucial aspect of the students' professional journey.

To help students prepare, the institute conducts an interactive workshop in March or April, providing detailed guidelines and a roadmap for summer projects. Students have the chance to interact with corporate executives, alumni, and seniors, gaining insights into industry expectations and the practical aspects of their internships.

The summer internship duration varies between two to three months, typically from May to June or April to June, carrying 8 credits or 100 points. Upon completion, students undergo a Summer Internship Viva Voice.

BIMTECH’s Centre for Corporate Relations (CCR) has a pivotal role to play when it comes to final placements and summer internships. Regular advisories through student groups' mail IDs and the CCR’s Superset Portal keep students informed about various opportunities. 

The placement process includes multiple components such as 

• Pre-placement talks, 

• Written or online tests, 

• Excel tests, 

• Case analyses, 

• Group discussions, 

• Personal interviews, among others.

Students are encouraged to maintain a good CGPA, participate in extracurricular activities, and engage in corporate-sponsored competitions to enhance their profiles.
