After successful launch of Fellow Programme in Management (Doctoral Programme), IIM Raipur is starting Post Graduate Programme for Working Executives on 27th Oct’2012.
Hon’ble Shri. Shekhar Dutt, Governor of Chhattisgarh has kindly consented to grace the occasion &to inaugurate the programme.
The Post Graduate Programme for Working Executive (PGPWE) is an intensive one and a half year post graduate program in management, especially designed for mid/senior level professionals. The program is formulated and designed to enhance skills and capabilities essential for managerial positions. The focus is to enable and develop business leaders who understand global requirements as well as the intricacies of business at functional and strategic levels. The program also has given a special emphasis on emerging economies which have enormous potential and business opportunities.
Especially suited for professionals who have a desire to upgrade to managerial ranks, professionally grow and contribute to the organisations, the classes will be held on weekends only, with the duration of 12 hours a week.
The overall goal of the programme is to broaden core leadership competencies to further enhance the professional growth of participants. The specific objectives of the programme are to:
•Provide participants with the fundamental principles of effective management of modern business organizations;
•Develop understanding of the roles and responsibilities of business managers in increasingly global nature of social and economic orders and corporate operations;
•Sharpen diagnostic and analytical skills for effective decision making in complex business
perspectives;
•Sensitise participants to the issues of cultural diversity and develop skills for effective
management within multi-cultural work environments; and
•Develop leadership capabilities to act as change agents and be a source of motivation in the organizations.
Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director IIM Raipur will deliver the welcome address, whereas Prof. Ajit Prasad, Dean (Academics) will propose vote of thanks. Prof. Pradyumna Dash, Chairman (Admissions) & Prof. M. Kannadhasan, Chairman (PGPWE) will present profile of the students & about the programme.
