Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management is one of the most premier institutes of India, founded by the Lal Bahadur shastra education society, back in 1995. Social Club ‘SPARSH’

Committed to Social welfare, LBSIM has undertaken some societal welfare initiative through “SPARSH” club to make a difference in the lives of the people belonging to lower strata of the society in accordance with the principles and values of Lal Bahadur Shastri. Each year various activities are organized for the deprived children, visits to orphanages and old age homes in collaboration with NGOs like Jagriti and Pravah. It helps students to understand the social challenges and a responsibility to give back to the society.

Rural Immersion

With the mission of developing ethical global leaders and entrepreneurs, the Institute provides a rustic introduction to the students to measure rural problems and give solutions. It plays a pivotal role in their personal and professional development with deeper societal concerns. Leadership imperatives are addressed during this program are System Thinking, learning ability and Deep self-awareness.

Nivesh-Student Managed Mutual Fund

To facilitate practical implementation, LBSIM has set up Nivesh- Student Managed Mutual Fund. It has 12 students from PGDM Finance program of 2014 – 2016 batch. It provides an opportunity for students to learn through practical exposure – evaluation of financial assets through market, industry and corporate evaluation, form stronger ties with the industry.

Alumni Foundation

A common platform to connect with each other and alma mater. Since, its inception the institute has more than 4000 alumni shaping the world. Alumni interactions are conducted to share their experiences, to strengthen the connection with the corporate world, promote entrepreneurship, highlighting alumni achievements, alumni chapter dinners and publishing newsletters.

Industry Institute Interaction

The dynamic and ever-evolving industry environment demands to keep abreast of the changes happening in the business.  So, to make sure that the students get the right exposure, the institute has industry partnership cell.

Corporate Interface Day

It is organized once a week for corporate interactions through guest lectures, industrial visits and live projects. Corporate exposure adds to the students educational journey and a glimpse of the corporate world.

Annual Outreach Programme

A pioneering initiative was taken by the institute by making possible direct interaction with industry heads and corporate HRs. The duration of this programme is one week where students get to visit various industrial hubs across the nation. Students get more clarity on the challenges and opportunities that the corporate world possess.

Industry visit

Various industry visits are conducted by the institute to observe and learn all operational processes. Like, Yakult Danone Factory, Amul Milk Factory, Mother Diary Milk factory, Maruti Udyog among others.    

Visit to NSE

Another step was taken by the institute, a visit to the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) every year including field visits to Financial Institutions.  Students get acquainted with the functioning of NSE.

Hence, with the industry interaction and social initiatives the institute is able to establish itself as the pioneer of imparting not just theoretical, but also industry relevant and ethically driven education.
