Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Raipur was honoured with Amity Academic Excellence Award by Amity University on 26th February, 2015. On behalf of Prof. B.S. Sahay, the award was received by Prof. Sanjeev Prashar on 26th February 2015 as a part of 15th International Business Summit & Research Conference INBUSH-ERA held at Amity University, Noida Campus.
The award was conferred to ,Prof. Sahay acknowledging his contribution to the field of academics. The citation read, “A profound scholar with an impeccable academic background, Prof. B.S. Sahay is highly respected in the world of academics and has been acknowledged worldwide for duly propagating the doctrine of knowledge. He has published many research papers in national and international journals and has held distinguished positions in many learned societies, institutions editorial advisory bodies and important committees. Undoubtedly, a professional par excellence, he has created many benchmarks in the field of education and research and is truly a role model for others to follow.”
Dr. Sahay has over 31 years of experience. He was the founding director ofIndian Institute of Management – Raipur and wasalso the director of two colleges of national level – IMT Ghaziabad, MDI Gurgaon. He has published over 140 research articles national and international journals. In his career, Prof. Sahay has influenced not just several management scholars but also the management thought especially in the area of supply chain. Several of his papers have had a deep impact on supply chain logistics and management.
As a founding director of IIM Raipur, Prof. Sahay has not only provided the institute leadership, but also a vision and a strategic direction. IIM Raipur is poised to become a leading institute in management education in the country.

Earlier this year, Prof. Sahay was also conferred an honorary Fellowship by the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM).
