Established in 2006, the Indian School of Business & Finance (ISBF), New Delhi is one of the select few institutions worldwide that have been given the “Affiliate Centre” status by the University of London (UoL).    BSc. Economics

   BSc. Economics & Finance

The course hones your quantitative skills and gives you can academic grounding that makes you the top choice for a career in leading financial institutions.

   BSc. Economics & Management

The BSc Economics and Management programme is offered at ISBF under the academic direction of London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), an undisputed beacon of excellence and expertise in higher education globally.    Bsc. Business & Management

The BSc Business and Management programme is offered at ISBF under the academic direction of London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), an undisputed beacon of excellence and expertise in higher education globally. The programme enables you to develop your expertise across a wide range of topics, be it marketing, accounting or human resource management. You will understand how companies work in an increasingly global market and how best to manage them. Placements & Career Services Division

Domestic Placements

ISBF graduates can choose from a range of employment opportunities. The ISBF degree trains them to take up profiles in finance, economics, marketing, and management across varied sectors.

Profiles in finance could entail Investment Banking, Hedge funds, Corporate Finance, Private equity and Financial Planning.  Students also take up positions in the Research & Consulting domains. Marketing and Advertising profiles across sectors/industries are open to students as well.

ISBF students have been placed in organizations of national and international repute.

Key recruiters include:

i)  Financial giants such as American Express, Axis Bank, ICICI
ii) Research & Rating organizations such as S&P Capital IQ, Evalueserve, Copal Amba (Moody’s Analytics company)
iii)Consulting majors such as McKinsey & Co., Deloitte and AT Kearney
iv) Global advertising agencies such as JWT
 

One Year International Work Placements

ISBF students get the opportunity to work with leading banks in London and New York through ISBF’s association with the Mountbatten Institute.

In 2015, ISBF students have been awarded 8 of the 26 scholarships awarded by the Mountbatten
Institute globally.

In the last half a decade, ISBF students have secured 1 year full-time work placements with top investment banks such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital at their London and New York offices.

Career Services Division (CSD)

The Career Services Division (CSD) at ISBF liaises with industry and employers across the globe. The CSD at ISBF is also instrumental in professional development of the students by organizing guest interactions with illustrious personalities from the industry, live projects, internships and mock interviews. The centre also offers personal counselling and support, alumni mentoring and networking opportunities to ensure students are ready for the transition from the academic to the corporate world. 

Entry Requirements

FOR INTERNATIONAL CURRICULUM STUDENTS - International Baccalaureate - IB and A Levels

Eligibility Criteria

• Students are eligible to apply for the program based on predicted grades issued by their school, before appearing for their IB Diploma/Certificate or A Level examinations.

Other Requirements

  • All Streams: Students with any subject combinations can apply for the BSc Economics degree.
  • Economics: Having Economics in high school is NOT an entry requirement.
  • Mathematics: Admission to the BSc Economics Honours programme (BA in Economics Hons) is conditional upon the applicant having Mathematics as a subject at the high school level (Maths HL in IB/ Maths in A Levels).

Selection Process

All students who have completed the application are eligible to appear for the selection process which consists of two compulsory stages.

These stages are:

I. ISBF Maths English Test (iMET): 2 hours duration
II.Personal Interview


For an applicant to be made an offer of admission into the program, involves careful consideration of the following five parameters:

• Class X Boards score
• Class XII Boards score
• Co-curricular and Extra-curricular record
• Performance in iMET (ISBF Entrance Test)
• Performance in Personal Interview


PLEASE NOTE: The following applicants will be exempt from appearing for the iMET, and will only be required to appear for the Personal Interview. Students who have:

• More than 34 points in the IB Diploma/Certificate
• More than two grades of B or above in relevant subjects at A Levels
• A valid SAT score (recommended score of 1800 and above)

All applications where the applicants may be exempt from taking the iMET will be decided by the institute on an individual case basis. This will be communicated to the students post the receipt of their completed application. The decision of the institute will be final and binding in all respects in all such cases.

FOR CBSE, ISC and other INDIAN BOARDS

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must have a minimum best of four score (including English as one of the four subjects) of 70% in Class XII Board exams

• Students can apply for the program provisionally before appearing for the class XII exams

• Other Requirements

  • All Streams: Students from all streams (Science, Humanities or Commerce) can apply for the BSc Economics degree.
  • Economics: Having Economics in class XII is NOT an entry requirement.
  • Mathematics: Admission to the BSc Economics Honours programme (BA in Economics Hons) is conditional upon the applicant having Mathematics as a subject in class XII.

Selection Process

All students who have completed the application are eligible to appear for the selection process which consists of two compulsory stages.

Fees, Scholarships & Financial Aid

Fees

Total Tuition Fees for the 3 year programme is INR 15,50,000/- (Approx. INR 5,20,000 per year)

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Limited scholarships are available for meritorious students. 3 kinds of scholarships are on offer for students. These are:

i. Scholarships available at the time of admission
•  ISBF Scholarship
-  Tuition fee waiver of upto 50 percent of the ISBF fees
ii.Scholarships available after admission
•  University of London Scholarships
-  Merit scholarships available at the beginning of second year and third year of the graduate degree
-  Tuition fee waiver of up to 100 percent of University of London tuition fees
•  LSE Summer School Scholarship
-  Recipients of this scholarship get to attend summer school at the LSE campus in London with other recipients from all over the world

Application Deadline

First Application Deadline to apply for University of London UG Programmes offered at ISBF has been EXTENDED to 29th of December, 2015 insted of 21st December 2015.

Limited Scholarships are earmarked for Early Applications (candidates who apply before 29th December).

Through the early bid route, you will receive first consideration for these scholarships and be able to submit your program choice before most of your other classmates.
