MICA announces MICAT - I scores
MICA, India’s only B-school for Strategic Marketing and Communication, today declared the scores for MICAT - I, the first entrance exam for the 2016–18 batch of its flagship programme Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communications (PGDM–C). The exam takers will be able to access their scores individually at the application portal mica.cqtech.in using their MICA Id.
42 candidates have been made confirmed admission offers (previously known as ‘spot offer’) at the end of Phase I (comprising of MICAT - I and Group Exercise & Personal Interview), while 307 candidates are being considered for the merit list and 194 couldn’t make it. All of them have been informed of their results individually. 16 candidates did not appear for the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).
For those who wish to apply for MICAT - II, this will help in better preparation for the examination. MICAT - II applications are open till Thursday, February 4, 2016 and the test will be held in 18 cities across India on Sunday, February 14. For those who appear in both MICAT - I and II, the better of the two scores will be considered.
This is the first time MICA has declared the MICAT scores and has also made the detailed selection criteria public.
Earlier in another first, MICA introduced a new admissions process where candidates are given two opportunities to take the MICAT exam and participate in the GE and PI. MICA also initiated a computer-based exam in place of the pen and paper model. 5, 251 students had applied for the MICAT - I. Of this, 536 candidates were called for the GE-PI process. Post the process audit, MICA called 23 more candidates for GE-PI.
