MICA, Ahmedabad - India’s premier institute for Strategic Marketing and Communication, registered a 100% placement for the 22nd Batch of its flagship PGDM-Communications programme.

A total of 152 students of a batch of 160 chose to be placed through the institute’s Campus Placements process. A total of 80 companies participated in the final placements, with one international recruitment partner, and 79 domestic partners.

The average domestic salary was recorded as INR 12.65 lakh per annum, with an increase of 8% from last year. The highest domestic salary offered this placement season saw a massive leap of 60%, from INR 25.5 lakh per annum last year, to INR 40.88 lakh per annum this year.

The trend of international placements from MICA continued this year too with 3 students securing jobs overseas. Pre-placement offers indicated a positive growth, and the batch also gained PPOs from emerging victorious in major corporate and national competitions like RB Mavericks, Mahindra War Room, Colgate Transcend etc. The highest salary offered to the batch was recorded as INR 56.03 lakh per annum.

The highest number of offers were made in the Media sector, followed closely by Internet and Technology, FMCG, FMCD, and Retail, Advertising, and Analytics. Some of the recruiters from these sectors were Google, Star India, Sony Pictures Network, Amul, Zee, BARC, Uber, Amazon, Reckitt Benckiser, Berger, Raymond, Emami, Omnicom, Leo Burnett, DDB Mudra Group, L& K Saatchi & Saatchi, Electronic Arts Games, Voonik, Absolut Data etc.

Other sectors like BFSI, Brand Consulting, Pharmaceuticals, Hospitality, Public Sector also showed their presence, with ONGC, IBM, Yes Bank, Axis Securities, Vedanta, ITC Hotels etc.

Summer Internships at MICA also witnessed a boom with 61 partner companies, and several new companies on board. The highest internship stipend was recorded asRs. 2.4lakhs. Two students from the batch also achieved international placements.The largest intake in the week was from brand consulting & advertising sector, which recruited 30.9% of the students.
