To meet the XIM University eligibility criteria, an applicant must possess a strong and consistent academic background.
-
The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum three-year duration, with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2025, can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failure to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15, 2025.

The applicant should have appeared in CAT 2024, XAT 2025, or GMAT (Taken between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024) exam and must have scored the minimum prescribed sectional and total scores to become eligible for the interview stage of the admission process.

Applicants opting for XAT/CAT are required to refer to the respective XAT/ CAT advertisements in newspapers and follow the instructions therein. Applying for XAT or CAT or GMAT or NMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIM University, Bhubaneswar.

NMAT by GMAC 2024 scores are accepted for MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-UMG and MBA-PPM programs.

Work experience is not mandatory for MBA program(s). Relevant work experience after graduation will be an advantage. However, the candidates need to have 3 plus years of relevant work experience after graduation for the Executive MBA Program.

Similarly, candidates with keen interest and/or experience in the urban sector, and with minimum 60% marks, in aggregate, in their bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) program are also encouraged to apply, even without a valid Admission Test score. They will, however, be required to attend the Personal Interview.

For the MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-PPM and MBA-UMG, candidates who have secured the 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in the college in their bachelor’s degree can apply without a CAT/XAT/GMAT/XGMT /NMAT score. Such applicants must furnish a Certificate from the Head of the Institution stating their position, when asked for. They will, however, be required to attend the Personal Interview.

Upon successfully filling out the online application form and paying the required application fee through the payment gateway, the applicant will receive the confirmation by email.
Selection Process:

The University decides the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks, which will be used to short-list candidates for the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. After declaring the result, candidates will be shortlisted for the GD-WAT-PI round based on their sectional and overall scores in the entrance exam. XIM University emphasizes not only entrance exam scores but also Academic Profile, Work experience, and other parameters. There may be separate sets of cut-off marks on the XAT/CAT/GMAT/XGMT/NMAT score for the Domicile candidates who are residents of Odisha.
Personal Interview:

XIM University will conduct the admission process in February and March 2025 for shortlisted candidates for the final selection process. After the Shortlisting process, GD-WAT-PI will be held in different cities to select suitable students for the program. WAT, GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai (if held offline). Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses to appear in the Interview session.
Final Admission Offer:

The final selection is based on academic profile, performance in the entrance exam, performance in the Interview round, and work experience, among others. The final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the first week of April 2025. The academic session would commence in the middle of June 2025.

XIM University Bhubaneswar's esteemed School of Rural Management (SRM), upholding the venerable legacy of 28 years program at XIMB, has concluded its 100% placement for the Batch of 2022-2024. Nevertheless, the prevailing market challenges, the institution has successfully facilitated the placement of 55 students within a more expeditious timeframe compared to preceding years.
The placements encompassed a diverse array of sectors, including BFSI, Development, Consultancy, Marketing, NBFC-MFIs, and Financial Inclusion, with 18 esteemed organizations involved in the process. Of particular significance is the marked surge in recruitment within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain, which accounts for a substantial 61% of the total offers extended. Notably, the highest package was offered by the esteemed IndusInd Bank, stands at an impressive 15.00 LPA. The median Year on Year growth saw a rise of 11% as compared to the previous year. Moreover, after a hiatus of a decade, the concept of "Dream Company" has been reintroduced.

CAMPUS INFRASTRUCTURE
THE OLD CAMPUS: The Xavier Institute of Management, XIM University, is located on 20 acres of verdant campus on the Nandan Kanan Road at Xavier Square. The entire Wi-Fi-enabled campus houses the faculty residences, office complex, library and computer centre complex, Bloomberg Lab, classroom complex, auditorium complex, residences for gents, ladies, and executive program participants, Management Development Centre (MDC) and Studio Apartments. In addition, the Institute has floodlit courts for basketball and volleyball, two floodlit tennis courts, an indoor badminton court, a pool table, a gymnasium, and floodlit playgrounds for cricket and soccer. The students of MBA-BM stay here and attend classes.
THE NEW CAMPUS: The new campus is located on 35 acres of land, surrounded by natural beauty. It is a digitalized campus with Wi-Fi and state-of-the-art facilities. This campus is at Nijigada, Kurki, under Pipli Tehsil, situated at a distance of 20 km from our Old (XIM) campus (13 km from the Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport). It was inaugurated on July 7, 2014, by Shri. Naveen Patnaik, the honorable Chief Minister of Odisha. The students of MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-UMG, MBA-SM, MBA-PPM, MMS-BF, M.Tech-CSE, MA-MC, M.Sc. – Eco., M.Sc.-Psy. and Undergraduate courses of the School of Sustainability, School of Commerce, School of Communications, School of Economics, School of Government and Public Affairs, Xavier Law School, School of Computer Science & Engineering and School of Liberal Arts, stay there and attend the classes.
LIBRARY: XIM University Library goes far beyond the realm of just a compilation of books. It is a treasure house of information and knowledge that employs trained professionals to preserve, systematize and administer so that they can contribute successfully to the continuing education and self-improvement of students, research scholars and faculty members by providing meaningful assistance to identifying, extracting and disseminating proper information from the maze of material available in its resources. Besides the print materials, the old and new campus Libraries have various electronic resources in the form of Corporate and Economic databases (Indian/International) like EBSCO (Business Source Complete), ABI Inform Complete, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier (Science direct), JSTOR, Emerald Management Xtra, Sage Database, J-gate, ISI Emerging Market database, CMIE, India Business Insight, Statista, Euromonitor International and Indiastat. IT FACILITIES
The Computer Resources and Data Centre (CRDC) at the new and old campuses provide all IT and computing resources to the University's students, faculty, and staff members. The University provides desktops to all faculty and staff. All the computers are connected to the campus LAN/ Wi-Fi, supported by fibre optic backbone. The campus network covers the academic blocks, administrative blocks, classrooms, libraries, hostels, and faculty residences. All members on the new campus network have access to the internet 24/7 through 810 Mbps (1:1) leased line and 600Mbps (1:1) leased line at the old campus.

CLASSROOM COMPLEX:
The Classroom Complex includes air-conditioned lecture halls, seminar rooms, syndicate rooms, multimedia hall, computer labs and an executive classroom. The classrooms have educational audio/video equipment, tablet PCs, computers with large monitors, LCD projectors and network connections. While most classes are held in the lecture halls, some prefer the lawn adjacent to the classroom complex for education with the soulful touch of nature.
THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE:
The International Centre on the new campus has state-of-the-art amenities, which will provide students with various services and venues for social, recreational, cultural, and educational pursuits. The International Centre with the built-up area of 48483 sq.mt. houses sports complexes, gymnasiums, lecture halls, research centres, food courts, education development centre, training halls, living rooms and many more.
RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES
With academic activities round-the-clock, students are required to live on the campus. There are separate Residences for gents and ladies. All the rooms have 24-hour Internet connectivity through the latest Wi-Fi technology. With the installation of laser printers and photocopying machines, round-the-clock printing and copying facilities are available to the students. The Residences also house the Multi-purpose Hall, Cooperative Store, and a Book Club. All the Residences are equipped with washing machines, water coolers, geysers, telephones, televisions, and indoor games like carrom, pool table, and table tennis. We also have facilities for uninterrupted power supply to all the Residences during power failure.
SPORTS AND FITNESS FACILITIES:
XIM University prepares students for the corporate world by providing the best sports facilities. The fitness enthusiasts can experience body-mind balance by working out in the well-equipped gymnasium and jogging tracks. Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Table Tennis and Volleyball are the popular campus sports. The students had participated in the sports meet called ‘Valhalla’ at XLRI, Jamshedpur in the previous academic years and were the runners-up of the whole sports event. Periodical sports events are organized by the sports committee to add relaxation for the physique as well as to revitalize from intellectual fatigue. Besides sports events, the Student Executive Council (SEC) takes initiatives in arranging cultural events and intellectual programs.
