CMAT 2024 by NTA - Answer Key, Challenging and Result check

CMAT is a Common Management Admission Test organized and regulated by National Testing Agency (NTA), India. It is an online computer-based exam through which students can apply for MBA to x number of AICTE approved institutes across India. It was first conducted in 2012. CMAT exam evaluates the candidate’s ability for below areas Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The CMAT 2024 exam was held on May 2024

The provisional answer key was released by ntacm  on May 2024.

CMAT 2024 question paper had five sections, each having an equal number of questions. In terms of difficulty level, let's check how much weight should be given to which section:

To download the answer key, candidates will have to enter some unique CMAT credentials:

• CMAT 2024 registration number
• Password/ Date of birth

Stepwise process of downloading the answer key:

1. Visit the official website of NTA CMAT 2024 - cmat.nta.nic.in.
2. Enter the CMAT registration number and the password/dob.
3. Next, enter the security number displayed on the screen.
4. Two options appear on the screen:

• Click to challenge answer key
• View question paper

5. Click on the “Click to challenge answer key” and the “Submit”.
6. Next download the answer key. One can then match and verify the answers with theirs.

This would be the preliminary one. The final answer key would be released after the challenging date.

There is a standard formula to calculate the aggregate CMAT 2024 marks.

CMAT percentile (P) = 100 x No. of candidates who attempted the

exam with raw marks EQUAL TO or LESS than the candidate/ Total number of candidates who attempted the exam.

Once the candidate has verified and scrutinized the answer key with their response sheet, he/she is open to challenging the CMAT official team in case they find any discrepancy in their responses on the answer key sheet. But for that candidate has to Rs1000, a non-refundable processing fee per answer challenged. Then, each of these answers would be scrutinized by the team again, and if found to be correct, would be incorporated into the final answer key.

Below are the steps to follow in case the candidate wishes to challenge the answer key:

1. Visit the official website. https://cmat.nta.nic.in/
2. From the drop-down menu option choose “Challenge Answer Key”.
3. Now enter the credentials CMAT 2024 registration number, Date of birth in the password, and the unique security pin; and then click on Submit.
4. Now open the questions CMAT Paper IDs in sequential order with the NTA answers alongside the column in “Correct option”.
5. Next, you can select one or more option IDs shown in the next 4 columns, and by clicking the check box, you can select a specific question.
6. Once you have clicked on the desired option, you can scroll down and press “Save your claim” and move ahead to the next sheet.
7. A screen would pop up displaying the option IDs challenged.
8. In case you have any supporting documents to prove your answer correct, you can upload that too.
9. Next, click on “Save your claim finally”.
10. The screen displays all your challenges.
11. Then comes the final step, i.e., the fee payment step.
12. One can choose the mode, Debit/Credit/Net Banking; and Rs1000 for each challenged answer.

For each attempted question, the candidate gets 4 marks if correct, and if the answer is incorrect, 1 mark is deducted. No deduction for any unattempted questions.

CMAT results and the final answer key will be released by NTA following the close of the answer key objection period. CMAT 2024 result date and time have not been confirmed yet. Results for CMAT 2024 will appear on the official website in the form of scorecards. The student will have to enter the registration number and date of birth/password to check the CMAT exam result.
