As on 2nd April 2020, the total number of cases due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in India is 1834. So far 41 deaths have been confirmed. March and April are the peak time when b-schools conduct their admission process and convocations. MBA Rendezvous attempts at bringing the latest on this front for the benefit of our readers.

    As per the earlier speculations made by MBA Rendezvous, the MAHCET 2020 exam result date has now been deferred to a later date. The result will be announced after the pan-India lockdown is lifted due to the spread of Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19)
  • 5:10 PM(IST), 25th March
    Leading business schools including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are considering deferring student internships, which were due to start in April, to as late as October-November amid the lockdown forced in several parts of the country by the spread of Covid-19.     Effective 25th March 2020, 12:00 am (midnight), India is under a complete lock down for next 21 days. There is a total ban on coming out of homes. All states, cities, and villages are locked down. These are stringent measures being taken to combat the outbreak of Novel Coronovirus (Covid-19). MBA Rendezvous speculates that the upcoming MAH CET 2020 exam result scheduled to be announced on 31st March 2020 may get postponed. Stay tuned for all the latest updates.

    Krea University has suspended academic sessions between 16th to 31st March 2020. Students must vacate campus from 18th to 31st March 2020. Confirmation regarding admission process is awaited.

    SDMIMD’s 25th Annual Convocation (19th March 2020) has been postponed as a precautionary measure in view of the outbreak of coronavirus.

    TISS Mumbai (including all campuses) has deferred PIT & PI rounds scheduled from 16.03.2020 onwards for Admissions to Masters Programmes 2020. The new dates of PIT & PI will be intimated later. The candidates who have already completed their PIT & PI for programmes in Mumbai Campus should ignore this. They will not be required to reappear for PIT & PI in the next round.

    NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University announces the examinations across all the campuses stands postponed till 31st March 2020. Further communication will be updated in due course of time.

    For the first time in the annals of ISB, the annual graduation ceremony, that was supposed to take in the first week of April, has been postponed until further notice due to COVID -19. Classes at ISB have been suspended, and all the students have been advised to vacate the campuses by Wednesday (March 18, 2020) evening.

    IIM Indore suspended all the classes & exams in the wake of the COVID 19.

    IPE facilitating the students to attend interviews through Skype on 20th, 21st, 23rd, 24th March, 2020.Students can select any one date. Also,on 21st & 29th March 2020,GD-PI sessions will be conducted at IPE OU campus, Hyderabad.

    MDI Gurgaon has postponed the annual convocation and also has postponed the Mumbai leg of WAT-GD-PI for PGPM/PGP-HRM/PGP-IM 2020-22. It was originally scheduled between 21st to 26th March 2020. The revised dates will be announced soon.

    MDI Gurgaon Update

    As per Bengal state orders, MDI Murshidabad is closed till 31st March 2020. The administration department is open and students can contact if they have any queries. Authorities have confirmed that since there are no cases of Novel Coronavirus in Murshidabad, all events (selection interviews and convocation) are expected to take place as per schedule.

    IIM Kozhikode (3rd and 4th April 2020) postpones the annual convocation due to the prevailing circumstances around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

    IMT Ghaziabad is closed from 16th to 20th March 2020. Any admission related query will be tackled once the college re-opens. The annual convocation has also been postponed.

    LBSIM Delhi postpones National Finance Conference. It is likely to be held in June 2020.
  • 13th March 2020
    Schools and colleges in Pune and neighbouring towns of Pimpri and Chinchwad closed till further orders. Rajasthan government shut down schools and colleges till 30th March 2020.
  • 12th March 2020
    IIM Ahmedabad (21st March 2020), IIM Bangalore (20th March 2020), IIM Indore (25th March 2020), IIM Lucknow (21st March 2020), IIM Shillong, XLRI Jamshedpur, Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool) defer/postpone the upcoming annual convocation since the eruption of COVID-19 Coronavirus.

    IIM Ranchi postpones upcoming convocation with the spread of novel coronavirus COVID-19.

    All academic institutions including schools, colleges, and universities to be closed in Jammu & Kashmir till 31st March 2020.
  • 9th March 2020
    Schools and colleges closed in Kerala till 31st March 2020 after the number of coronavirus cases increases.
