The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad is a non-profit educational society established in 1964. It is devoted to Education, Training, Research and Consultancy for business enterprises in the public and private sector. IPE is the premier Business School at Hyderabad and is recognized as a "Centre of Excellence"​ by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi for doctoral studies. It has also been recognized by eight universitites in India for guidance of Ph.D scholars. It has developed strong linkages with industry and academic institutions and is the founder member of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) and is also the member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Computer Society of India (CSI).

Another attraction of IPE is its sprawling 22-acre campus at Shamirpet, Hyderabad, surrounded by a reserve forest on one side and a beautiful lake on the other. This state-of-the-art campus provides a serene academic environment congenial for students, research scholars and faculty. IPE has an academic and administration block, a modern knowledge-center (library) which provides access to more than 5,000 National and International journals and over 40,000 books, state-of-art IT facilities and management-related software, a well-equipped auditorium, food court and several sports facilities. The campus also comprises modern hostel facilities to accommodate boys and girls.

IPE runs a range of popular two-year Post Graduate Programs in Management (PGDM), covering several different specializations including General Management, Marketing, Banking & Finance, International Business & HR. In addition, we also offer a 15 month Executive PGDM for working professionals. In addition to the PGDMs, IPE also has a very successful track record of running MDPs and Executive Programs over a long period of time. - PGDM – Marketing
Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Marketing is a unique course specially designed to train the students in the area of Marketing. It equips them with the principles, theoretical concepts and practice of marketing, with a strong emphasis on contemporary thought, trends and issues.
- PGDM – Banking Insurance and Financial Service
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Banking, Insurance and Financial Service (PGDM – BIF) started in 2008 is a two year full time programme approved by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE).
- PGDM – International Business
The Post Graduate Diploma in International Business (PGDM – IB) started in 2009 is a two-year full-time program approved by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE).
- PGDM – Human Resource Management
The Post-Graduate Diploma in Management – Human Resource Management (PGDM-HRM) is a two-year full time program comprising four semesters of study including projects.
