Major Announcement - IBSAT 2026 Announces Flexible 8-Date Test Schedule

ICFAI Business School is releasing the IBSAT 2026 schedule, giving management aspirants a chance to take the entrance test in December. IBSAT 2026 will now have eight test dates spread over four weekends giving candidates flexibility in choosing any convenient date and time for the examination. The test will be an online, remotely proctored examination, which allows eligible candidates to attempt the exam at any location at their convenience. Also, the timelines for this schedule are also relatively short, as the result of the test and the scholarship list would be published the Monday after the results of each weekend is released.

There are eight opportunities to take the exam (on four weekends in December). There will be two testing sessions per day.

The deadline for applications depends on the test window you choose. It is recommended that applications be submitted before the application deadline for the test window representing the desired test date.

IBSAT 2026 scores will be released right after every attempt cycle. Students who take the test on Saturday or Sunday will receive their score cards by the next Monday. Any students who take a Test 1 or Test 2 on December 5 or December 6, 2026 will because of this receive their results by December 7, 2026. This will be the same for the next two test cycles in December.

IBS has announced scholarships worth 10 crore for eligible students appearing through IBSAT and other accepted management entrance exams. For those students applying to programs for admission and scholarship consideration through other tests who can provide official scores, the scores will be accepted when they are available.

About the scholarship decisions of these candidates, the announcement will be in January 2027.

Once the results of the IBSAT 2026 are given out and admissions are over, the selected candidates will have little to no time before they join their programme. During this time, they can make all the arrangements for travel, stay and any other arrangements.

1. Admission Formalities

An admission offer, if received, should be made in an attempt to follow the formalities prescribed by IBS. Students should pay special attention to the admission letter for details like documentation, fee remittance reporting schedule of joining etc.

2. Travel and Accommodation

Those candidates who would be traveling for their programme could try to plan their journey and stay before joining. For example, students coming to Hyderabad could also start planning their journey and staying arrangements based on the confirmed reporting date.

3. Joining Schedule and Bookings

The expected join date is in February. Candidates should wait for the official communication from IBS for reporting and joining dates before finalizing travel bookings/ticket bookings/any bookings. In case of students, please do not book tickets (non-refundable) until the official schedule is provided.

IBSAT 2026 management students who wish to appear for their entrance test in December will be able to choose from eight dates. With 2 exam dates per day, and remote-proctoring of exams, the results of each exam being announced on the next Monday, students can do their application and exam planning accordingly. All aspirants must plan in advance, apply early for the test date/time of their choice, and closely monitor official IBS updates regarding admission, scholarships and joining. Post admission, candidates can also use the time to plan their travel and accommodation arrangements, as they may be required to relocate to the 9 IBS campuses.
