The Common Admission Process (CAP) is the selection process conducted by the 9 new IIMs. It is conducted for admission to the postgraduate programmes of the Indian Institutes of Management participating in CAP 2022. Candidates who had appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 conducted on November will be eligible to participate in CAP 2022.
The CAP 2022 coordinating IIM will conduct the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) of applicants. Group Discussion (GD) will not be a part of CAP 2022. Thereafter, the merit list of candidates for each individual participating college will be calculated and sent to the respective college. The final results of MBA admissions will then be announced by the colleges individually.
The respective institutes will also send admission offers to the selected candidates through email and all the selected candidates will have to confirm the acceptance of the admission before the due date in order to avoid rejection by the IIMs.
