The IPMAT 2026 admission process began in February 2026, with candidates applying for the five-year Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Indore. The IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is the entrance test conducted by IIM Indore for admission to its five-year Integrated Programme in Management.

The application process for IPM AT 2026 started on 2 February 2026. The original application deadline was 14 March 2026, and IIM Indore subsequently extended the application window until 17 March 2026 at 5:00 PM.

To apply for the IPMAT exam, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit www.iimidr.ac.in to submit your application online. Make sure to do this between the specified dates.

  2. Pay the application fee online. It's Rs. 4,130 for general candidates and Rs. 2,065 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. This fee includes GST at 18%.

  3. If you belong to NC‐OBC, SC, ST, or PwD categories, provide valid caste/category certificates. For Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), submit a document confirming eligibility.

Remember, the application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, so double-check your details before submitting. Good luck!

recruitmentEligibility Criteria for IPM AT 2026

To apply for the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), you need to meet these criteria:

  1. You should be passed XII in 2021, 2022, or 2023.. (Candidates from SC/ST/PwD category can get a 5-year relaxation.)

  2. You should have passed standard X/SSC.

  3. You should have passed your Standard XII/HSC or equivalent exam with 60% marks in 2021, 2022, or 2023.

Important Notes:

- The percentage of marks for X and XII Standard will be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects, regardless of the Board's regulations. 

- If you completed X and/or XII standard or are pursuing XII standard from an international school, you need to provide "The IB Indian Percentage Transcript."

These criteria ensure that applicants meet age, educational, and documentation standards for admission to the IPM program.

Here’s a breakdown of subjects you learn under each section of the IPMAT exam.

Quantitative Ability (MCQ): Number System, Averages & Percentages, Roots, Indices, Surds, Simple & Compound Interest, Profit & Loss, Algebraic Formulae, Linear & Quadratic Equations, Lines, Angles & Triangles etc.

Quantitative Ability (SA): Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Statements & Conclusions, Statements & Assumptions, and Logical Reasoning etc.

Verbal Ability (MCQ): Etymology & Roots, Idioms & Phrases, Analogies, Antonyms, Synonyms, Foreign Words, Noun & Pronouns, Errors, Subject-Verb etc.

Test Structure:

  • Each question in the exam carries 4 marks.

  • There's a negative marking of 1 mark for wrong answers in some sections
