MET 2024: Exam Pattern, Tips, and Important Dates to Bookmark Right Now

Get ready for MET 2024 because applicants have been given very little time this year. MET (Manipal Entrance Test) is an online entrance exam conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) every year for candidates looking to secure admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at MAHE.

You need a 10th or 12th qualification in math, physics, and chemistry to be eligible for the test. MET is conducted in two phases, giving candidates the option to try one or both. It's on a first-come, first-served basis. If you go for the first attempt, you can appear for the second after paying some charges. But make sure you have bookmarked all the important dates for MET 2024!

The application form for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2024 has been out since November 7, 2023. So hurry! Apply today if you are late. 

The last day to register for the MET 2024 exam is March 15, 2024, even though registration started late. Don't wait until the end, as the deadline is strong this time. Apply online at manipal.edu. Last year, the deadline was extended, but we suggest applying before all lines are closed on March 15, 2024.

The application form for the Manipal Entrance Test is live on manipal.edu until March 15, 2024. To register, use the following steps:

1. Head to the MET's official website.

2. Hit the registration link.

3. Input essential information like your email and phone number, and set a password.

4. Complete the application.

5. Don't forget to upload vital documents, including your photo and signature, as asked on the site.

MBA aspirants, please follow the below-mentioned criteria to be eligible for the MET MBA 2024 Exam. Here's what you need to know to check if you're eligible:

• Qualification: You need a bachelor's degree from a recognized institute.

• Marks: Make sure you have at least 50% aggregate marks in your bachelor's degree.

To download your MET 2024 admit card, visit manipal.edu, click on "Download MET Admit Card," and log in with your MET 2024 application number and password.

Make sure to complete the slot-booking process first. Once logged in, your admissions card will show up on the screen. Don't forget to download and print it for future reference.

The MET Admit Card 2024 is expected to be issued in April 2024 (Phase 1) and May 2024 (Phase 2). Slot booking begins two weeks before the exam date. So, make sure you are quick.

The Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by Manipal University in two phases. However, the exam dates for 2024 are not fixed yet. But if we look at the past year, when the exams were taken on April 28, 29, 30, April 27, and May 28, 2023, then you can expect your examinations to commence this year in April 2024 or May 2024.

The MET 2024 exam assesses your skills in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. The exam lasts for 2 hours and has a total of 60 questions, combining multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.

The exam covers a total of 60 questions (MCQs and NAT combined) for a total of 240 marks. The marking scheme is explained below.

• Each correct answer in MCQs will have +4 marks

• Each correct answer in NAT will have +4 marks

• Incorrect answers in MCQs will invite a -1 mark (negative marking applies)

• There’s no negative marking for NAT questions

Luckily, the syllabus is nothing too different than mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English of what you have studied in the 10th, 11th, or 12th standard.

Preparing for the MET exam involves several key steps.

• First, you need to understand the exam pattern and syllabus thoroughly. This helps you know what to study.

• Once the syllabus is clear, you should create a timetable and allocate enough time for each section and topic. Using a timetable helps in covering all the important areas efficiently.

• Start with NCERT books for MET preparation, as the exam is based on the Class 12th syllabus, and gradually move on to other important books.

• Allocate extra time for revising what you've studied. Create short notes or flashcards for important formulas and review them regularly.
