Annual and Cultural Fest - Xamboree

Xavier University Bhubaneswar is all set to present its first annual and cultural fest – Xamboree, that will be spread across three days, from 4th-6th October 2018. It will witness a plethora of diverse events, right from business events, cultural events to gaming events and Star Nights. It is expected to have more than 100 educational institutions participating, and a footfall of over 5000. Xamboree will be providing a platform for enthusiasts from various domains, be it artistic, creative, or business.

This year will see leading artists, like the sensational rapper, Badshah and the talented singer, Aastha Gill take the center stage and dazzle the audience with their gripping performance.

Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, famously known as Badshah, a former IAS aspirant, now a rapper, music producer and music composer, has revolutionized the Indian rap music industry. He joined a band, Mafia Mundeer in 2006 and started his music career with Honey Singh. It was during his time with the band, that he took up the stage name “Badshah”. After 6 years with Mafia Mundeer, he split from the band in 2012 and subsequently, his first independent Haryanvi song was released. The song was relished by the public to such an extent, that few years down the line; it got adopted for the Bollywood movie, “Kapoor & Sons” and he eventually made his Bollywood Debut with the song “Dhup Chik” from the movie “Fugly” featuring big names like Raftaar and Aastha Gill. Now, he is one of the most sought-after musician in the country and became a favourite of music directors within a short span of time.

Aastha Gill, who was working in an advertising agency until 2014, got her first break by means of a phone call from Raftaar, and debuted alongside Badshah on the song from the movie “Fugly”, after which there has been no looking back. She followed it up with chartbusters like “DJ Wale Babu”, “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai” from the movie “Khoobsoorat” and finally with her latest independent single “Buzz” featuring Badshah.

This three-day spectacle will end with a riveting performance by this musical duo, who will be enchanting the audience with their popular songs on the finale night of Xamboree’18.
