Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) presented its eighteenth HR Round Table on 16 October, 2015 at Trident Hotel, Mumbai, in association with National HRD Network, Deloitte and Bloomberg TV. BIMTECH has been organizing such Round Tables since 2011 and this HR Round Table in Mumbai is the second Round Table in the Financial Year 2015-16.
The Theme of the Round Table was “Leading the New Way for HR” with the sub-theme “Re-imagining performance appraisals”.
The discussion led by the Moderator Ms. Ruhie Pande, was very lively which came out with very rich inputs from the panelists. The sub-theme being “Re-imagining Performance Appraisals“, involved lot of discussions including some variation in opinions. One of the major issues of debate was the continued use of Bell curve in the Indian corporate, which brought in lot of excitement with most of the Panelists and a good number of audiences disagreeing with its use for performance-linked payment.
The panel consisted of Mr. A Thirunavukkarasu, President - Corporate HR, JK Organization, Mr. Barttanu Das, Head-HR, Blue Dart, Mr. Gautam Chainani, CHRO, UltraTech Cement, Dr. Ritu Anand, Vice President and Deputy Global Head HR , Tata Consultancy Services, Ms. Ruhie Pande, VP and Head - HR & Training, Marico Kaya Enterprises (Moderator), Mr. T K Srirang, Head- HR, ICICI Bank, Dr. Vishalli Dongrie, Sr. Director, Human Capital Consulting, Deloitte India, who shared their thoughts and interesting experiences from their own companies.
The Round Table was attended by 150 senior executives from the PSUs, Private Companies, Govt officials, Bankers, Academicians and people from media houses. BIMTECH was proud to have 25 of its senior alumni who came to attend this Round Table.
