"We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.”  Alma mater is a Latin phrase which literally means 'nourishing mother.' It instills in us values that we take forward with us.
 
BIMTECH conducted its 25th Convocation Ceremony for the batch of 2011- 2013 on November 1, 2013. It brought together all its students to relive the days spent with their alma mater. 
 
The  function was held in the green lawns of the Institute and started in the evening with an academic procession. After the lighting of the lamp and invocation, the convocation was declared open.
 
The former Finance Minister of India, Shri Yashwant Sinha graced the occasion with his presence as the Chief Guest for the event.
 
The function was presided over by Dr. Ajit Ranade, Member of the Board of Governors of BIMTECH and Chief Economist, Aditya Birla Group. Shri. Vikash Kandoi, Member of the Board of Governors of BIMTECH delivered the welcome speech.
 
Addressing a lively audience of about 750 students, academicians and invited guests, Shri Yashwant Sinha, stated that the young graduates must assess the true features of their economy in order to take correct business decisions. 
 
While presenting the progress report of BIMTECH for the year just concluded,                         Dr. H.  Chaturvedi, Director of the Institute, focused on the stress being accorded to academic excellence and in strengthening the faculty, research scholars and also female entrepreneurs in a dedicated program in association with ISB Hyderabad and Goldman and Sacs. Diplomas were awarded to students from all the five programs viz. Post Graduate Diploma in Management, PGDM in International Business, PGDM in Insurance Business Management, PGDM in Retail Management and PGDM in Sustainable Development Practices.
 
Continuing the tradition of the BIMTECH PLEDGE, the Diploma awardees exuberantly stood up to take the oath and cheered themselves and their friends on the occasion. Shri Yashwant Sinha, the chief guest gave a four point formula to the passing our students by inspiring them to perform their duties with Commitment, Courage, Ethics and Excellence.  He drew light to the fact that the lack of investment from the government in the various industrial sectors is the root cause of failure of sustained economic growth. 
 
Dr. Ranade enlivened the environment with quotations of Swami Vivekananda ‘Arise, Awake and Stop Not till the Goal is reached’ and of Steve Jobs ‘Stay Hungry (for success) and Stay Foolish (for miraculous achievements).
 
Deputy Director Dr. Anupam Varma expressed his vote of thanks and thus the solemn occasion as well as the celebration culminated with a grand party. The moment of pride, nostalgia and remembrance enveloped the joyous environment.
