IMS Ghaziabad celebrates intercollegiate festival Mélange

Mélange is a magnificent, grandiose, youthful and vibrant intercollegiate festival at Institute of Management Studies Ghaziabad, which is celebrated with full zest and fervor every year. 
 
This year, Mélange - 13 celebrated the 'Colors of India' and gave an opportunity to the youngsters all over the country to participate and showcase their talent and enthusiasm. Over 1000 participants from 50 colleges participated in several events in three days Gala.Celebrations started on November 18, 2013 and went on for three days till November 20, 2013.
 
The Chief Guest of “Melange-13”, Dr. R. K. Khandal, Vice Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, inaugurated the “Melange-13”at IMS Ghaziabad; During the Opening ceremony Dr. Khandal praised the students for showing the spirit of participation and enthusiasm.
 
Director IMS Ghaziabad, Dr. Urvashi Makkar urged the students to develop the emotion of peace, harmony and oneness via such cultural events. 
 
IMS Group of Institutions organized Marathon - 2013, on November 18, 2013, as a splendid start conveying message of “Run for Peace & Harmony“ in the city. Over 1000 students took part, representing IMS group of Institutions and other institutions too. 
 
It was inaugurated by Shri SVS Ranga Rao, District Magistrate of Ghaziabad,at  9:00 AM at Kavinagar Ram Leela Ground and ended at IMS Lal Quan Campus. Shri Rao exhorted students to propagate values of ‘Peace and Harmony’ in the society. 
 
Managing Trustee IMS Society, Shri Rakesh Chariaji recommended students to make Ghaziabad as “Mohabbatnagar” while Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director IMS Ghaziabad, encouraged students to be peace messenger in the country.
 
Ms. Kiran Yadav, SP- Traffic of Ghaziabad, was the Chief Guest during the prize distribution ceremony in students packed ultra modern auditorium of IMS Ghaziabad, Ms Kiran also conveyed her congratulations to the winners and praised the participants for taking part in it. 
 
All the faculty & Staff members of IMS Group of Institutions also participated in the Marathon and cheered the students.
 
On the next day of events students enthusiastically participated in Rangoli, Collage Making, Solo Dance and Duet singing, skit, T-shirt painting, Face Painting besides High Heels the Fashion show and Battle of bands. Students participated with full Zeal in all the competitions and came out with flying colours. 
 
Third and ostentatious day of Mélange kicked off with Antakshari, followed by Solo singing and Photography event. Huge enthusiasm was quite visible among the participants at mind churning ‘Quiz’, followed by ‘Group Dance’ competition. In the evening the gala music concert was performed by “Manic Bazar” band. Everybody was exhilarated and ecstatic with the mind boggling performance of “Manic Bazaar” which was followed by lavish dinner to all the participants.
 
Mélange is not just the celebration of IMS Ghaziabad but it is organized with the help of existing students to inculcate the feeling of belongingness and structured planning with execution of such grand event that gives them the opportunity to explore their inner potential apart from course curriculum and regular studies. 
 
Along with the dignitaries and Executive Council Members, Dr Sanjeeva Dubey; Asia Pacific Executive IBM India , Mr. Aditya Jain; Director Princeton Group, Mr. V. K. Bansal from Mudra Gyan Guide, Mr. Pramod Agrawal; President INO Ghaziabad Chapter and many other renowned guests were present at Mélange to boost students’ moral and be a part of the magnificent gala.
