Prof Pradip Khandwalla, Former Director, IIM-A, who inaugurated the conference said, “Looking at the range of topics included in this conference, we can say that entrepreneurship research has come of age, though there is still long way to go. EDII has been arranging this conference since long, providing a platform to researchers, practitioners and educators of entrepreneurship to share their ideas, beliefs and work with other experts.”

Prof Khandwalla emphasized on need for innovation-centred entrepreneurship. “Innovation-centred entrepreneurship is important for developing countries. However, research says alone it is not enough. When innovation-centred entrepreneurship is blended with compassion, social entrepreneurship is born. It makes society humane, creative and performance oriented,” Prof Khandwalla said.
Prof Sasi Misra, Conference Chair & Editor, The Journal of Entrepreneurship said, “Just as its preceding eleven conferences over the past 22 years, the Twelfth Biennial Conference on Entrepreneurship will continue to be an established forum for researchers, educators and practitioners to share their ideas, and research results with their peers in addition to exchanging feedback and honing their own research pursuits.”
