Erudition '17

Developing affordable solutions for emerging markets has become an important skill for professionals in any disciplines. Engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and policy-makers alike face a changing global landscape in which the gross domestic product(GDP) of the developing world has surpassed that of the developed world. “Innovation is the change that unlocks new values”, was rightly said by Jamie Notter. We must realise that the future is here and the future is now and the onus is on us that how geared up we are for the challenging, unpredictable and often cut-throat competition in emerging markets. We cannot wait for things to happen. It is incumbent upon us to make things happen. We shall achieve this by broadening our limits and thinking out of the box. Or so to say, as this year’s theme suggests, “Innovative Solutions for Emerging Markets”, it is all about innovation even if it means “Coming up with a product that the customer didn’t even know they needed.” Through this year’s convention, we hope to apprise all about developing affordable and innovative solutions that are needed and are very important for expanding into emerging markets. We are witnessing an emergence of newer more dynamic economic systems and along with it come the challenge of providing greater availability of affordable solutions. The world cannot subsist by resorting to makeshift solutions.
