Erudition is the Annual Business Convention of Delhi School of Economics, organized jointly by MBA(HRD) and MBA(IB) of Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Erudition provides a common platform to educationists, industrialists, entrepreneurs, financial gurus, and students to share practical knowledge and put their insights on current on-goings in business globally. Till now, the course has hosted 22 successful conventions, including Erudition ’17.
The Institute proudly hosted the 22nd Annual convention – ERUDITION’17 on 13th – 14th October 2017. The theme for this year was Innovative Solutions for Emerging Markets.
Developing affordable solutions for emerging markets has become an important skill for professionals in any disciplines. Engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and policy-makers alike face a changing global landscape in which the gross domestic product(GDP) of the developing world has surpassed that of the developed world. “Innovation is the change that unlocks new values”, was rightly said by Jamie Notter. We must realise that the future is here and the future is now and the onus is on us that how geared up we are for the challenging, unpredictable and often cut-throat competition in emerging markets. We cannot wait for things to happen. It is incumbent upon us to make things happen. We shall achieve this by broadening our limits and thinking out of the box. Or so to say, as this year’s theme suggests, “Innovative Solutions for Emerging Markets”, it is all about innovation even if it means “Coming up with a product that the customer didn’t even know they needed.” Through this year’s convention, we hope to apprise all about developing affordable and innovative solutions that are needed and are very important for expanding into emerging markets. We are witnessing an emergence of newer more dynamic economic systems and along with it come the challenge of providing greater availability of affordable solutions. The world cannot subsist by resorting to makeshift solutions.
