IIM Raipur expands its academic alliances in Europe
IIM Raipur has made yet another significant achievement by further expanding its International Partner base in Europe. IIM Raipur has partnered with three more universities – Management Center Innsbruck (Austria), International School of Management – Dortmund (Germany), and University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia) - in order to facilitate Academic Exchange and provide an international exposure to both students and the faculty.With these three new partners, the number of international partners of IIM Raipur has increased to 13.

Regarding the growing number of International partners, Prof. Vinita Sahay, Chairperson, International Relations shared that IIM Raipur intended to provide international exposure to most of the PGP students. She said that international exchange program benefitted management students by giving exposure to art, architecture, music, literature and philosophy, besides fostering decision making skills in a cross-cultural situation. For these reasons, Europe has been one of the most coveted destinations among B-school students across the world. It is this multicultural aspect of Europe that the academia of IIM Raipur hopes to benefit from, going forward.
Details of the New International Partner Institutions
Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), founded in 1995-96, is one of the leading universities in Austria and has an international accreditation by the esteemed AACSB (Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). It has collaborations with about 200 universities across the world including IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Indore in India. Apart from the regular courses across the functional domains of business, MCI also offers courses in Tourism Management and Austrian culture which will be a unique experience for the students.
International School of Management (ISM) will be IIM Raipur’s second partner in Germany, after HHL Leipzig. Established in 1990, it is among the top B-schools in Germany and has six campuses – Dortmund, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne & Stuttgart. It has more than 170 international partners including IIM Indore in India, and is a member of the prestigious EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). ISM excels in the Supply Chain and Manufacturing domain and attracts Operations majors from across the world.
University of Economics in Bratislava (UEBA) is one of the most important educational and scientific research institutions in Slovakia. One of the oldest public universities (founded 1940), it is widely acknowledged in the fields of Economics, Business, Finance and Management. It has more than 230 partnerships across the world under various frameworks of cooperation. UEBA offers comprehensive courses in Business Economics and Information Sciences making it a lucrative choice for the Finance enthusiasts.
